I'll probably hit up Vancouver but am slightly tempted to go to Seattle instead. I'd probably go to Seattle if I didn't think PJ was going to play there in 2018. It's nice to have options. It also seems like a first where both shows are on Saturday nights...
The Foos announced there will be another Caljam in 2018 on October 6.
Now I can get more use out of the tent I bought for camping at Cal Jam '17!! Guess this also nixes any possibility of headlining dates at the Forum for the next year.

Yep.....I doubt they will do a headlining show in L.A. We are going up to Sacramento to see them on December 2.
So, a little help is requested here. I was at a show last weekend and while I appreciated the $25 shirts, I thought the vinyl was overpriced at that same amount. It wasn't until after the show that I realized that the new album with the "black on black" design was limited.
I will buy someone a beer if they can pick one up for me. So $35 maybe? $25 for the album + media mail + a beer = $35? Appreciate if anyone could help out. Thanks!
Last night at the Guns N‘ Roses show in Tulsa, Dave Grohl was introduced and came out and played Paradise City. Very fun, should be a fun show tonight in Tulsa.

Im going to see Foo and GnR next summer, so that makes two overrated bands then. Where do you stand on Metallica live, because I'm thinking of seeing them too (never seen them live)?

Foo Fighters are arguably the biggest rock band in our era.
I know it's trendy to knock popular, but in their particular case... I think they are popular for a reason. Just acknowledge their awesomeness and jump aboard!
* I would say Grohl's banter can be repetitive and somewhat scripted. This is the only aspect of the band I'm not super cool with. Oh... their last album wasn't so great either, but much better than a few other 'new releases' our favourite 'experienced' bands have spewed out. The only other 'experienced' band that has topped them in recent album quality has been the RHCP with their last effort.

Saw the Foo's show in Sacramento this past Saturday. Great 3-hour performance.......they did a great cover of "Let There Be Rock" by AC DC. They played for over 3 hours! The Struts opened, and I predict they will be very well know in the next few months.....not sure if they will have longevity, or end up like The Darkness in terms of disappearing after a promising start,
Really like their new album, though for me nothing comes close to Nothing Left to Lose and Wasting Light.
As for shows I went to the Krakow show when Dave was still on the throne with his broken leg. Was awesome as it was my first Foos show. But I think whats kind of sad and what what has been mentioned before, is that their setlists are mostly the same, they do not make use of their big song catalogue. I love the energy they have and the fact that they add to existing songs (like the Times like these middle sections etc.) But I am not sure I would go to more than 2-3 shows given the chance seeing as I would most likely be hearing the same songs again.
The same thing was happening with RHCP later on. Now with Klinghoffer they tend to play more often rare/older songs, but at the Stadium Arcadium times, the setlists were pretty similar with a few shows which had killer lists (like 2007 Chorzow).

Was at the show in Sacramento as well. Always one of my favorite bands but never was sold on them live. Way too much grandstanding before, during and after each song. Sometimes just wish they could blitz through 6 or 7 songs without all the theatrics. Dave must not think the songs themselves can carry the night. Still a fun show though, they play their guts out for 3 hours, covers were tremendous. It's an over the top night of Rock N Roll. There was a time when it was about the songs but it feels like it's more about them now. Either way I've seen them live 7 times now and would pay money to see them again. You just have to know what to expect. Even a 3 minute song takes 6 with all the extra jamming and talking.

So, like, that's my opinion.
But I can see why others gets hyped by their live shows.
And I loved seeing them and Audioslave back to back at Roskilde in 2005.
They are definitely not Pink Floyd, but I don't want all bands to be Pink Floyd.
I think their catalogue is much deeper than many want to give credit for.

I'd give you this. But saying that... there are a few Foos hits I'd want to hear every show.
the only way I would go to a Foos show nowadays is if they played the whole "Nothing Left to Lose" album.

Nothing Left to Lose is such a great record.
too bad they rarely play anything off of it.
it's the reason I haven't seen the FF since 2000.
