Gave Version 1 a few listens already. I'm happy with the versions we have. However, I need to really listen to it on speakers at a 'decent' volume to figure out whether the differences in SQ (namely before and after Wishlist and that of DTE) are problematic or not.

Have been super busy with work deadlines recently - so not been able to input much in the last few days, sorry. I should be able to give some time to Version 1 tonight though! Will post feedback here soonish

Just had a concentrated run through up to Pilate. Sounds great! I think for the next stage we should be focusing on the 'flow' of the thing, and how the different versions work alongside each other as much as anything.

I thought that the version of GTF we have is a bit low in mood, when I was looking for it to pick me up at that point. Also, the SQ of the version we have is a bit on the muffled side, and the change into Wishlist wasn't very pleasant on the ears. I think if we find a brighter overalll, shiny GTF - that will help both problems.

Am gonna pause for a bit before going back to listening to the second part....

Looking forward to this.... 98 was my first show/tour... Love Yield and loved this tour...

Is there any way you could reshare/repost the Backspacer complilation? Link is dead from your site...

    Thanks!

I'm sure Cameron4President will sort that out shortly.

Have you tried the alternative links for that one?

Finished my run through of Version 1. Got really into it - although I did get a bit 'down'. Hard to put my finger on why. I think my biggest concern was with Given to Fly - I think we can improve on that one

I have no way of checking these links from work, but I will gladly replace any link that is not working when I get home in a few hours. One of the alternate links should work. Please let me know if you continue to experience problems.

EDIT: I had Electricxlovex check the links for me, and unfortunately they were all removed for the "Backspacer" project. I will repost them as soon as I get home from work. The links should be restored in two hours of this post. Sorry for the trouble.

    Right.
Somehow I notice this on the very first notes but then I tend to forget it because, for some reason, I keep focusing on the drumming and totally forget about the rest :? But Wishlist does sound louder though.
Off to try and find a better sounding - and more uplifting - GTF...

Maybe there's a reason they were removed.

EDIT: I think you'll find our honeymoon period is over with some of the other links as well ;)

EDIT edit: Actually, I think it is just Mixed Metaphor which has been actively removed. I personally wouldn't re-upload it.

GTF Maryland Heights 07/02 sounds much better and flows well onto Wishlist IMO. It tends to 'build up' more than the version we currently have at the 'waves came crashing ...' point too. So I guess it feels less 'low' or at least, this version 'fights back' where possibly the other one almost 'surrendered' (whatever that may mean, if anything  ).

Makes sense to me!! I will try and listen to that one in the morning, but am too tired right now. I'm happy to trust your judgement tho!

    Dan & Co.

I'm listening to the Backspacer mix right now....FAN-F'N-TASTIC! The versions you have on here are better than the stuff that made LOXL!

    EXCELLENT job! Thank you.

On a side note...Have you guys considered adding Of The Earth to this? I know it doesn't quite fit Backspacer (album wise), but timewise...it was probably written when most of that record was. Just a thought. Thanks again...

Again, thank you so much for the kind words. We are all glad that you are enjoying these projects.

As for "Of The Earth", as you said "it doesn't quite fit Backspacer". We debated it back and forth, but in the end it just didn't sound right with the rest of the compilation.

Ok, I finally gave Version 2 a few run throughs.
Sounds very good to me !!
GTF 'flows' well between No Way and Wishlist and we don't have to change Wishlist for it has too good an SQ, which would have been quite a paradox. Now, of course, Pilate is a bit lower in SQ, but I don't think that's problematic, considering the usual 'lower tone' of the beginning of this song anyway. Had the version of this song been higher in SQ then we'd have a gap in the flow onto DTE, and that would really be problematic then, considering DTE needs to rock no matter what.
So, all's good for me with Version 2 as it is.
