Project #7 - Static Echoes: Yield Live

Due to the overwhelming positive feedback that Tremors, Myra, and I (w/ some help from Electricxlovex) have received for our last six projects, we have decided to get started on our next one. For project #7 we have decided to continue with the full album format that we have done on a few projects and have decided that it was time for "Yield" to get the "Live" treatment.

Here are some parameters that we would like to go by for this project:

-All songs must be (with the exception of "Low Light" which did not get played for the first time until 2001) from the 1998 Tour.

-All songs/covers/b-sides/improvs must be from (covers) or originally recorded from the Yield Era [1997-1998].

-We will add 2-3 bonus songs at the end, which will be covers/B-sides/Improvs from the 1998 Tour.

-Our goal will be to use the best sound quality sources possible. (SB, FM Broadcasts, and Ex. Aud.)


Please feel free to use this thread to make suggestions and give us feedback as to what would be good to include on this new compilation (and what wouldn't be good). I will be updating the working track list for this project on the front page of this thread (right here). Our plan is to slowly start putting this together on Monday (January 24th) and have it completed and ready for download by or before next Sunday (January 30th).

Watching that Breath was amazing! and I don't think we've included it on any of the collections so far. Incredible how they can produce so much intensity whilst hardly moving - like they are in the eye of the hurricane. Mike's solo completely caps it off too. Breath in the spirit of '98!

I was thinking that the bonus material could be comprised of "U", "Leatherman", and an Improv(Good one from Sydney 3/12/98).

Any other bonus material ideas? Any more song ideas? We only have 1 so far. Thoughts/Opinions??

We generally have tried to stick with bonus tracks from the same era as the album. Otherwise this NY Breath would be great. We might have to hold that one for a future project

I was at the wellington (NZ) concert, I seem to remember In Hiding being an awesome song at that gig, also I got engaged there and would love to get the boot if there is one out there???? or even a download?????

All suggestions are welcome and Dimi has provided many, many great suggestions, but I am not really interested in material from another/earlier Pearl Jam album. Only Yield era material.

Fair enough!

I am going to have a Yield run through of some of the good SQ boots I have downloaded, and try and come up with some more suggestions - a few options etc. Be back in a bit!
