I just contacted my most local DFH wholesaler.

She emailed me back almost immediately.

NY hasnt approved the SKU yet, but they expect the beer next week and for it to hit shelves next week. She also said it will very likely be at a beer store that I frequent in Buffalo. The wholesaler has a great tracker in order to find it too. (this Wholesaler is near Syracuse, NY).

I think if I monitor it enough, I will be able to score this stuff!

I will be going to the tasting event in about 2 hours time!!! I will be sure to post my review of Faithfull Ale tonight (if I am able to haha). I am also going for another taste of Bitches Brew and I want to try probably 2 others that I have never had before.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict $100 bottles on ebay (full of course).

I would love to sit down and drink a Faithfull Ale, but they don't sell in my state and I'm not gonna bust my balls and/or wallet trying to get a beer because it says Pearl Jam on the wrapper. I'll just drink a regular old less than $12 beer and pretend... ;)

It IS a great souvenir though, great collectible... but just not worth the hassle and/or money.

i'll send you an empty...free of charge....and you can fill the bottle with your fav brew. :P

SOLD! :) I'll take that empty if you really want!
I'm sure the actual beer is great... I would love to try one... if I happen to be on vacation next month in Chicago and wander into a liquor store selling it, you're damn right I'm buying it! But the chances of that happening...? Almost no chance!

If anyone pays $100 for a bottle on E Bay they are out of their mind...

    And the people who pay $350 for a $30 backpack aren't? :lol::lol::lol:

Exactly... that's what makes me predict $100 beer... let's wait and see ;)

My father tasted it today and he enjoyed it. Not sure how much of an aficianado he is, but he liked it enough to want a couple of bottles for himself.

I was able to get 2 pints of Faithfull Ale today. It was good, but not great. I will give a full review tomorrow.

hope it makes it way out to the NY/LI area....would love to get a couple.

have to say too, while i don't know shit about beer, i can't stand the stuff...hubby is quite the afficionado and he says dogfish head is a GREAT brand, so that's cool.

a friend gave me a bottle of wine b/c it had the police/synchronicity label (the police were the pearl jam of my youth :)) and the wine was absolute shit!!!

Honestly just think of Pinot Noir mixed with Chimay- thats pretty much what it tastes like.

But I'll check Shoprite while I'm out today, anyway.

I kindof figured the beer wasn't going to be one of Dogfish's better tasting. I'm not a big fan of "fruit forward" beers. When I think Pearl Jam, I think darker, spicier, hoppy. Oh well.
I still really hope to try it though, still sounds different, and it being the official PJ brew and all. Nice bottle for the shelf too!
