If you hear anything let me know, I'm not opposed to driving to Columbus from Cincinnati for it.

Haven't read all these pages but has anyone checked Anderson's In Columbus? They usually carry a wide variety of beers.

  • Anyone know what size bottle this will be sold in?

The stores I've been calling are specifically asking for the bottle size and I've read in different places that it'll be 750ml bottles and pint bottles. Anyone here know the definitive answer?

I think they're just going to be 750ml bottles.

    Thanks to both of you!
  • Got a message from dogfish that it will probably be shipped the end of next week.

I checked with a liquor store in my small town in Southern Illinois, who called their distributor and was told no way would we get it in Southern Illinois. The urban areas in Illinois get first dibs which means rarely is there any left for us in Southern Illinois. Booooooo!

Only hope is that West Kentucky gets some.

  • just received an official reply from Dogfish...

    My email to them:

Really excited to hear that you're doing the Pearl Jam tribute beer "Faithful Ale"! Is there anyway to know when you will start to ship this out to California, I would like to know when to start hounding my local stores to be able to purchase some bottles.

Also was wondering if you will be doing any additional promotional products for the Ale (shirt, pint glasses, etc.).

Thanks, and keep making great beer!

P.S. Very sorry that Brew Masters is no longer on. It was awesome to watch you guys in action. :(

    RESPONSE:

    Hey Christian,

Thanks for reaching out to us about our off-centered ale, Faithfull. We plan to release this beer into distribution next week…so depending on where you live you might be able to get it sooner than later. Now on getting it to your fridge, I recommend going to our website (http://www.dogfish.com) and using our Fish Finder. This feature allows you to enter your zip code or codes as the case may be and have all the Dogfish Head in your area come up! It is that easy. It won’t come up though till the beer is in your neck of the woods so look for it near the end of the month!

We don’t have plans yet to have any merchandise to accompany the beer, we’ll just have to see how it goes. If something comes up though it will be on the website at http://www.dogfish.com

You probably drove right by my house as I live only a few blocks from the casino. I went to SIU too - both undergrad and law school (many, many, many years ago).

So I think there's a chance I may be able to get anywhere from 1 to 24 bottles...lol. I know, a big range. I think I have a contact that will be able to get me at least a full case, possibly more, at least 5 bottles are spoken for if I can get that much to start with. I'd be more than happy to disperse the rest to members here on the site. The downside is it's going to be expensive on a per bottle basis. Could be anywhere from $15-$20 per 750ml bottle PLUS shipping. Pennsylvania has some bullshit taxes that make the beer prices in this state ridiculous! You can buy a case of beer AT RETAIL in Delaware or Jersey for cheaper than the wholesaler sells to the retailer in PA.

Let me know if you want one and I can try to get a list together in the event that I am lucky enough to get 12-24 bottles. Let's cross our fingers!! :ugeek:

  • Ships end of next week according to Dogfish. It will take another week or so to hit retailers shelves ..... everybody relax, if you know where you can get ususal dogfish seasonals or one off releases contact them and they will hold one for you. Obviously its not going to be on every shelf like Bud Light, but it will be available, possibly on some shelves for weeks waiting for someone to buy it. Unless Faithfull blows up on beer advocate as the greatest thing ever we are safe ..... I would not expect that with this style.

    My suggestion

    Buy a faithfull ale
Put it in your patagonia backpack
    Drive home in your Preius
Spin your xmas single to a DFH 60/90
Open up your Faithfull Ale and enjoy PJ20 Blu-Ray

I intend to buy as much of this as I can, and sell it on ebay as a 'collectible.' Then I can put some of that money towards something else, like Canadian Breakfast, white Backspacer, LPs, etc. Gonna be good. Oh, and, yeah, I guess I'll drink one.

I hope you are getting more than one case because a case of 750mL bottles consists of 12 bottles, not the normal 24- 12oz bottles.
