Tour is done...they had to bow out of headlining Bonnaroo and cancel remaining dates...
Apparently Ted is recovering well...here's to hoping he recovers fully and they are back to touring for those that missed them in no time.
Cheers

Does that mean they are no longer going to reschedule Dallas, Houston, and New Orleans? The new message didn't mention them at all.

From the M & S website: Here are the details of the new dates the band were originally forced to postpone due to the above - original tickets remain valid.
16th Sept - New Orleans, LA - Mardi Gras World 17th Sept - Woodlands, TX - Cynthia Woods Pavilion 18th Sept - Dallas, TX - GEXA Energy Pavilion 20th Sept - Bonner Springs, KS - Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre
+ 9 more dates!!!
26th Aug - Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto, ON - Canada 28th Aug - (Gentlemen Of The Road presents) Forest Hills Stadium -
Queens, NY 29th Aug - First Niagara Pavilion - Burgettstown, PA
2nd Sept - Klipsch Music Center - Noblesville, IN 3rd Sept - Marcus Amphitheater - Milwaukee, WI 4th Sept - Xcel Energy Center - Saint Paul, MN 9th Sept - Oak Mountain Amphitheatre - Pelham, AL 10th Sept - Centennial Olympic Park - Atlanta, GA 11th Sept- Charter Amphitheatre - Simpsonville, SC
Does anyone know what the gentlemen presents thing means? I googled but couldn't find anything. I may have been too distracted by the fact that a stadium exists in forest hills.

YES, in fact I do - and attended the San Bernadino version:
It's basically a festival like show in a smaller city/town. Usually a few bands in the lineup, some sort of movie or DJ aftershow. Most ALL have campsites involved...a fun time to be had for sure. Doors open early, lots of food/drink/merch vendors - its like they take over the area for a few days. It was super cool in San Bernadino and the folks I spoke with who camped said it was awesome. The night before they played the Red Rocks movie for the campers and after the show they had a full DJ set so people could continue to funk out with their junk out
Having seen Mumford & Sons a few times now, I cannot recommend the experience of them live enough. They are beyond incredible, super awesome musicians and put on 1 hell of a super charged barn storming show.

That sounds fun/interesting, and if they are going to try to do something like that at the Forest Hills venue I'm beyond curious to see how it will work. I don't think there will be room for camping. The venue is in the middle of a rich people community, and it's been sitting unused since the 80s when the community got sick of the concerts. (which is why i'd never heard of it )
Even if I don't get tickets I might just go stand outside and see what happens

I saw that on fb the other day. Hilarious. I love that it doesn't start to get completely ridiculous right away. Those are some great comedians too. I also loved that the actual band isn't in the video at all yet it's their actual video for that song. Great song too.
Can't wait to see them tonight from the 4th row in Milwaukee!!!!!!
how was it?
They put on a great show. I can't wait to see how they progress as a band, when they have more than 2 albums of material and can play longer shows.
I was disappointed with the venues scheduling/ advertisement. It was printed on the tickets that the show started at 7:30 with 2 openers. They sent the first opener on at 7! I was really wanting to check out Bear's Den as I enjoy their EP.

Sounds more like Coldplay than Mumford, and I can't stand Coldplay. Hopefully its not a sign for what to expect from the rest of the album

Love it! Like my previous thoughts in the Silverchair thread, these guys couldn't keep making the same damn record over and over and over again. Everything musical is derivative to a degree in my opinion, so who cares who they sound like? These guys are exploring a sound and style that's different for them. Also, everything is so fookin' crammed in close together in cities.
I thought Coldplay too when I heard the new single. I do like it, but not as much as I like their old sound. But I do understand trying to evolve as a band. I'm just hoping for some more Mumford ballads on this album.

Agreed. I'm sure I will like some of the tracks, but it will be hard to follow up after their previous 2 albums. I just hope they don't go the path of The Avett Brothers.
