You people really piss me off. (the whining ones I mean). I bet you are all the sorts of people who are up to your eyeballs in debt because you see something and have to have it NOW.
Seriously, I hope PJ never do another live show again. THEN imagine how ripped off you will all feel.
Some people ask if the guys ever read anything on here. All I have to say is I hope they don't because it would probably drive them to break up, seeing all this dissension over their band.
I pledge to you a government that will not only work well, but wisely, its ability to act tempered by prudence, and its willingness to do good, balanced by the knowledge that government is never more dangerous than when our desire to have it help us blinds us to its great power to harm us.

I have to beleive that PJ will continue to provide official bootlegs and are simply revamping the method / venue for distribution.
I based this only on previous postings fron the 10C and the fact that Crowded House and The Who (two major influences on Ed) continue to provide the same..
just my optimistic outlook..
Ed's solo stuff is off limits..
big deal!

Ed did make a comment in LA (believe it was Night 2) along the lines of "that's why we don't do bootlegs anymore" - I don't remember what the context was...but kinda left me with the impression that they were not coming - at least not in the way we had become accustom to seeing them :( that said, there is a great bootleg of Berkeley 1 floating around (and thank god for it)

I take lines like that with 17 grains of salt. Ed's an off the cuff joker. Come one now.
Although, clearly the LA 1 crowd were a bunch of assholes compared to LA2.
That doesn't make any sense at all to me. Recordings in the past have been sold by bootleggers. With people recording and freely trading, it took the market away from bootleggers. Restricting recording/sharing will not decrease the number of shows recorded (I'm sure all of EV's solo shows have been recorded), it just increases the opportunity for unscrupulous people to profit from them.
Exactly. A lot of people did get the april 7th show before it was pulled, and unfortunately someone will end up selling it on ebay...
Personally, I would just trade a copy for a E.V. zippo lighter...
I still can't tell if this thread was directed at Eddie Vedder, the whole band, or some invisible guy sitting on the dude's shoulder..but anyways...just a quick read of PEARL JAM's official camera/audio rules should allay any fears of not being able to record unofficial boots or take digital cam photos at the upcoming shows.
As far as Basecamp/touchbase...maybe it just wasn't working for them anymore and they plan on trying something new.

That comment was part of a joke for LA 2.
The crowd was roaring and Ed said, "You guys are a lot better than those a**holes who were here night 1. I will always speak nothing but fondly about you always - at least until I get to San Diego."
The crowd jeers a bit and then Ed says, "F*ck San Diego!"
Crowd goes nuts.
And then Ed says, "That's why we're not doing bootlegs anymore," while laughing.

Seriously? You hope to never see PJ again because of what a few people type on a message board? Seriously?

I say the same thing myself
no more shows

What is the Pearl Jam world coming to?
The Ed shows were incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pearl Jam and the 10C take care of their fans. If you went to the Ed shows I'm sure you would agree.
After the giant "pre-tour" now I'm ready for the tour.
June will ROCK.
