by my math, this shit has been going on for about 2.5 years now right? oct 2010. right?
cars sure are running well for having to be fueled by stale gas.
i'd be getting myself a diesel 4X4 and setting up a bio diesel plant to fuel it with fresh fuel.81 is now off the air0 -

I don't think it's been that long in show time..only less than a year I think..maybe one year max. The only big jump that I can think of is during the winter (between seasons 2 and 3). They have only had to survive one winter.2003: San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Seattle; 2005: Monterrey; 2006: Chicago 1 & 2, Grand Rapids, Cleveland, Detroit; 2008: West Palm Beach, Tampa; 2009: Austin, LA 3 & 4, San Diego; 2010: Kansas City, St. Louis, Columbus, Indianapolis; 2011: PJ20 1 & 2; 2012: Missoula; 2013: Dallas, Oklahoma City, Seattle; 2014: Tulsa; 2016: Columbia, New York City 1 & 2; 2018: London, Seattle 1 & 2; 2021: Ohana; 2022: Oklahoma City0 -
Lots of questions. Rick decides they need ammo and guns to fight the war with the governor. So he makes a supply run to his home town which must be fairly close apparently. There is no over night stay and it all takes place in day light. So why in the hell didn't they make a supply run there before? If he has been so concerned about Morgan why didn't he go there and look for him if they were that close? And if the prison is in the same region as Rick's home town why didn't Rick know about the prison before? Maybe I'm just assuming but he acted like finding the prison was an accidental discovery. He was a police officer. He would know about prisons in his state, and especially near his home town. Also, they spent all last winter driving around scavenging. When trying to survive a winter wouldn't you go back to your home town where you knew the locations of all of the stores and restaurants and who had guns?
And yes, driving the same vehicles for a year without ever seeing them gas up makes me crazy. I keep wondering where they are getting gas. But I don't think it has been 2 or 3 years. The apocalypse supposedly happened in the summer, then they went through one winter on the run, and now they are back in the summer. So it seems like the time period has been around 1 year. The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way it treats its animals. Ghandi0 -

Just because it hasn't been explained, doesn't mean it cant be explained.

we need the show to be an extra 30 minutes now just to see the group siphon gas at a near by station?
great episode last night. i thought about rick and michonne growing feelings for one another, i am glad they touched up on that topic during talking dead. rick and female figure in the front seat, son in the backseat. just how things "were" at one point in his life. i like how they are really starting to develop her character and open her up a little bit.
carl is still the most unsupervised kid in television history. i get he is getting older and needs to take on a certain level of responsibility at this point in the game, but the kid is 80 pounds soaking wet and armed with only a 9MM and pocket knife?0 -

i don't need to see that....i do need to see some common sense take over.

depends how rare fuel is, whether youre trying to save some for a generator for the winter, noise that may attract zombies, plenty of reasons to pick a smaller car.0 -

tons of empty cars along side the road. most trips they have made so far have only been a few miles.
i'd take my chances in a diesel powered 4x4 vs a little front wheel drive crossover. you can run over the zombies and not even feel them. stuck in the mud..ha...flip the 4x4 switch. need to haul shit...toss it in the bed. car blocking the road....drop it into 4 lo and push it out of the way.
i'd also look to bolt on a nice big steel gurad on the front end for zombie smashing fun.81 is now off the air0 -
They have a Dodge Ram pickup. Glen was driving it during the shoot out at the prison. I'm guessing they chose the Hyundai to go into town because it makes more sense if they are trying to conserve fuel AND need some cargo room for supplies. It is too bad they didn't find an all wheel drive variety of that car though!
I thought it was one of if not the best episodes this season.
Good to see Michonne open up a bit too.
If I was Rick I would have tried to get more guns from Morgan....no reason one dude needs the firepower for a small army. Well, at least they know where they can go to get more!0 -
This show is such a joke. They have neither showed them siphoning gas or taking dumps. I want to see it all otherwise it's not believable. :fp:
But yeah....where are they taking dumps? Toilets don't work, they don't show anyone going out back to poop in a hole. :think:0 -
could do without seeing them shit...suspension of disbelief and all that
i'd say fuck it & go to a bigass lake and commandeer a bigass houseboat and anchor right offshore.0 -

Diesel would even be harder to come by and most cars on the road dont even use it, so cant siphon any if you run out on a trip....0 -
All BS aside. They obviously know where they are at because they found Rick's hometown. Why don't they just leave the prison and find a new spot. Avoiding the impending war with the gov. I guess we don't have a show if they do that. There are plenty of things that aren't great for the story.....Like where they poop

You can make biodiesel with the right knowledge.
Gas will ultimately go bad and ruin the fuel system. I'll take my chance with diesel ocer the long term.81 is now off the air0
