OMG! OMG! I can’t believe this! Fauxrage!

During his Monday evening monologue, Kimmel said the MAGA movement was trying to score political points by trying to provethat Kirk’s alleged killer, Tyler Robinson, was not one of its own.

“The MAGA Gang (is) desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said. “In between the finger-pointing, there was grieving.”

The ABC late-night host’s remarks constituted “the sickest conduct possible,” FCC chair Brendan Carr told right-wing podcaster Benny Johnson on Wednesday. Carr suggested his FCC could move to revoke ABC affiliate licenses as a way to force Disney to punish Kimmel.

“We can do this the easy way or the hard way,” Carr said. “These companies can find ways to change conduct and take actions on Kimmel, or there’s going to be additional work for the FCC ahead.”

Carr added that the broadcasters, including ABC, “have a license granted by us at the FCC, and that comes with it an obligation to operate in the public interest.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Carr attacked Kimmel as “talentless” and suggested the late-night comedian’s comments displayed “some sort of desperate irrelevance.” Disney and ABC did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

I’ve already noticed it. We’re back to the NASCARification of culture because, you know, the “other.” And woke. Larry the Cable Guy, and as already mentioned, Kid Pebble and Ted Nugget. Can’t wait for the programming to be announced at the Memeania Center for what passes as art.

Yeah it was a dumbass comment like most who were trying to take any sliver on info and use it to push their agenda for sure, but to be cancelled over it is just crazy talk.

We All Believe

After the election, I deactivated all of my social media and stopped talking to literally everyone except my brother, 2 buddies, and my best friend from college, the mother of my Goddaughters.

I simply couldn't understand how even semi-smart, semi-emotionally mature and semi-morally decent people could have voted for him.

I am never going back to social media again, but I started talking to my family and friends only because of my heart attack.

I'm starting to regret that decision.

It won't end with Kimmel's cancelation. It's only going to get worse.

I might have to do the following, at a minimum:

- Move to Canada

- Cease consuming ALL Disney content, which includes ESPN and the MCU

Disney is maybe the only company (and Apple too) that could actually afford to tell T!@#p to go fuck himself, but it probably won't, and seemingly won't, if the initial reaction is any indication.

Texas man charged over ‘terroristic’ threats against New York’s Mamdani

Prosecutors say the suspect, who pleaded not guilty, left many messages threatening Zohran Mamdani and his family.

Authorities in New York City have charged a Texas man with making “terroristic” threats against Zohran Mamdani over a series of menacing voicemail and written messages that the suspect allegedly left for the mayoral candidate.

Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said on Monday that Jeremy Fistel, 44, left the messages, which suggested that Mamdani should fear for his life, in June and July.

“The defendant told the assemblyman to go back to Uganda before someone shoots him in the head, to keep an eye on his house and family, to watch his back every second until he leaves America, and that he and his relatives deserve to die,” Katz said.

“Let me be very clear – we take threats of violence against any office holder extremely seriously – and there is no room for hate or bigotry in our political discourse.”

According to Katz’s office, in one statement submitted through the website of Mamdani, who is currently serving as a member of the New York State Assembly, the suspect allegedly wrote: “I’d love to see an [Israeli military] bullet go through your skull. Would be even better if you had to watch your wife and kids murdered in front [of] you.”

Fistel was charged with 22 counts, for which he can spend up to 15 years in prison if convicted.

The charges come amid rising concern about political violence in the United States after the September 10 assassination of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk.

In June, a gunman also killed Melissa Hortman, a top Democratic lawmaker in Minnesota, and her husband.

Fistel appeared in court in New York and pleaded not guilty. He was later released on a $30,000 bail.

According to The Associated Press news agency, defence lawyer Todd Douglas Greenberg argued that Fistel used words like “hope” and “wish” and did not issue a direct threat to Mamdani.

No one is sitting here arguing that what my client allegedly said was proper. It was unpleasant speech, but it was free speech,” Greenberg was quoted as saying.

A local reporter posted a video of Fistel, dressed in a black hoodie and a pair of jeans, quickly walking away from reporters as he exited the courthouse.

The victory of Mamdani in New York City’s Democratic primaries in June sparked an Islamophobic backlash from many conservative lawmakers and activists.

Last week, Mamadani told The New York Times that he received new threats after the killing of Kirk, but promised to continue campaigning in the same way ahead of the general elections in November.

“It won’t change how I move through the city that I love,” he said.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) welcomed the charges against Fistel on Thursday.

“No public servant – or any individual– should be subjected to Islamophobic harassment or violence simply for serving their community or for being who they are,” Afaf Nasher, CAIR-New York executive director, said in a statement.

“Hate has no place in our state or our nation.”

Disney was looking for a reason to axe Kimmel due to his very low rated show. He spewed some very divisive lies and his employer said take a hike. He was not jailed by his government for saying what he said so drop the free speech rhetoric. The Dream Team of nerds (Kimmel, Meyers, Colbert, Stewart, Fallon) constant criticism and endless, tiresome jokes of POTUS has grown old and viewers are tuning out. These ass clowns should go back to their old jobs, MTV, SNL, The Man Show...etc
