Just watched From the Sky Down. Awesome film. It's crazy how close they were to breaking up before that album was made. I love the part when Bono is listening to an early instrumental version of Mysterious Ways where you can hear the Edge experimenting with different chord progressions. Then suddenly the music morphs into the main chord structure and melody for "One". They stop the track and Bono kinda goes "wow, that's interesting." Like he had forgotten where the idea for that song originally sprang from. Very cool stuff.

 Couple more weeks and I'll be watching it on Showtime! Can't wait for the movie! I've been listening to everything related to "Achtung Baby" the last few days; the album, the singles and b-sides, bootlegs from the ZOO TV Tour, and "Salome".

Nice. I can wait two more weeks. I posted a video from YouTube, where it was a u2.com special, about a special look into the movie and it looks really good. God, this has to be the bands best album. Either this or Joshua Tree.

Okay without reading through all of the comments, it sounds like Zooropa will be released only in the Uber Deluxe boxset, is that right? I hope not, that's ridiculous. Is the documentary dvd going to be available in any of the box sets?

    1. It does seem like Zooropa will be released only in the Uber box set, which is sad.

    2. Yes, it'll be available in the Uber and Super Deluxe. I think it's also getting its own separate DVD/Blu-ray release. Not 100% sure on that.

  • I still expect that there will be a remastered Zooropa released on its own somewhere in the future. Including a Deluxe Edition with extra songs (B-sides, remixes and a few outtakes).
In that respect, I still don't understand why Zooropa is included in the Super and Uber Deluxe boxsets.

It's also included in the Super Deluxe set, according to the tracklisting on U2.com

From what I've heard it's because the girl he brought onstage was underage (this coupled with them drinking champagne). Apart from that I don't see why Trying To Throw Your Arms Around The World could've been left out from the video (and later DVD).

What's the age in Australia for drinking?

    Interesting from Wiki:

"All tracks played on that night appeared on the video, with the exception of "Tryin' to Throw Your Arms Around the World", which was played between "Numb" and "Angel of Harlem". Many speculate it was omitted because of a controversy about Bono sharing a glass of champagne with an underage girl on-stage, while others believe that the band was unsatisfied with their performance,[8] however, producer Ned O'Hanlon stated in an on-line chat in 1996 that the concert was too long and needed to be cut for the video release.[9]"

I am not surprised at all. All along it was not being touted as being remastered until they added the word to the description at some point and have now removed it.

I'm really liking Garbage's version of Wild Horses. Second cover I like right now, with Jack White being the first one. Can't wait to hear the other versions. Damien Rice's version of "One" puts me to sleep.

Right now the only one's I'm liking are Jack White's and Garbage's versions. Damian Rice's version puts me to sleep. The Killers' is a hit or miss with me...I need that guitar riff Edge does at the beginning of Ultraviolet.

Would anyone like the full album? I am listening to it now, glad that Barnes & Noble did not have this issue of Q yet as I would have wasted about $9

Patti Smith is awful. Gavin Friday sounds like farts, one is sleepy

NIN, Garbage, Depeche Mode are ok

That bad? One definitely puts me to sleep. So Gavin Friday butchered The Fly?

How's the article on the album?

well, what I meant is that they didn't have the U2 issue yet so I wasn't able to get it. I did manage to get mp3's of the cd though. It's not that bad, haven't got all the way through it. I think it is the kind of thing that you listen to once or twice and that's it.

Gavin has a lot of electronic noises, some sounded to me like farts,
