they are sucker bets. you should read a book called 'beat the sports books' by dan gordon

could have done without that seattle TD. bastards

why do you feel the need to just criticize everyone who has a different viewpoint than yours? we've had this discussion about teasers and parlays all year long....all year while you've seen me win with them consistently.

Just stating facts man. Read anything about sportsbooks and you will learn that parlays, teasers, and other exotic bets are sucker bets.

    super bowl opinions?

without delving into absolutely anything yet, my initial reaction is pittsburgh comes with a lot of value with that line. opened at 3, was down to 2.5 a couple days ago. i would think it would drop another half point or so? again, i haven't begun looking into this at all. that's just a first blush thought.

anyone else thought about this yet?

I'm all over the pack. I think pitt has been overrated all year. Their offensive line stinks and if pouncey is out (reports are his ankle is busted), the rapist will be running for his life all day.

If GB can stop mendenhall, I think this game is a blowout

I just feel like the steelers have been doing it with smoke and mirrors all season. sure, their defense is legit, but I think you can throw on that secondary.

put woodson or williams on wallace and who scares you on pitt's offense?

look at their playoff wins...baltimore gave their game away and it took the jets an entire half to get their feet under them after the emotional win vs the pats. the jets defense couldn't have been any worse in that game and they still almost won.
  • I dont even know if I can bet on the Super Bowl this year. I'm still shell-shocked from the NFC championship game loss to the Packers. Obviously I'll be rooting for the Steelers, but if GB wins AND I lose money, that would be a terrible day.

me and jeags are eagles fans. you're getting no sympathy here.

Rams/Eagles, NFC title game...eagles lose, rams cover in SB
Bucs/Eagles, NFC title game...eagles lose, bucs cover in SB
Panthers/Eagles, NFC title game...eagles lose, panthers cover in SB
Falcons/Eagles, NFC title game...eagles win, lose in SB, but DO COVER (small victory)
Cards/Eagles, NFC title game...eagles lose, cards cover in SB

    fucking brutal

Yeah, both fan bases are obnoxious. Packers for obvious reasons and the Steelers with those annoying ass towels! I was at the Bears game last year when the Steelers came to town and there were a ton of fights in the parking lot after the game when the Bears won. It was crazy.

i remember back in college there was a large contingent of steelers fans at my school (close to the middle of pa). the most annoying, loud, obnoxious, hickish tools you will ever meet. by the time we were in our 5th year, the birds were rising like a phoenix in arizona and the steelers were still just okay. if you were to tell me 11 years later they'd be going for their 3rd super bowl and we'd still have none, i would never have believed you. i can picture all of these people now each weighing over 300 pounds with 12 kids a piece...either way, F#CK ME.

ended up taking the steelers once the line went back to 3 today. bought 1.5 points. got 'em at +4.5. i see a 3 point game either way. very evenly matched game. despite pouncy not playing and the other issues the steelers have, i'm leaning on the experience in this one.

    anyone doing any prop bets?

I took the over at 45. I'll prob have a lot of action with some strip cards and squares at the SB party I'm going to.

Still looking at all these prop bets. It's crazy how many bets they have on some of these gambling websites...

i'm really not a fan of these prop bets. i've been looking at them all day can't figure out what i like. i never end up winning them. think i'm just sticking to the game itself. i also did a block thing at work. left it there though and don't remember what numbers i have.

    also---small par on the steelers/over.....+4.5 and 43.5

    good luck man.

can't bet the SB without taking some prop bets. I cleaned up today. This type of profitability makes me miss the college football season. Perfect way to close out another great year betting on football.

Actually my SB bets need their own thread.

i think i read it's because they were the last at large seeds to make it.

it's goofy any way you look at it
