I guess lots of people just really value the opinions of Skip Bayless.

    1. It is the SEC, USC and everyone else.
    - During the SEC streak of 6 straight titles, it is important to note that not just the best from the B1G got beat in those games, also the best from the B12 (Texas and Oklahoma) and Pac12 (Oregon) loss to the SEC.

    2. It isn't the entire SEC, it is 4 programs (and currently just 2)
    - the SEC as a whole benefits from the power of Bama and LSU. Eveyone else gets a boost. If you put SCar or Arkansas in a different conference, neither of those teams would be ranked in the top 10 right now. Furthermore, I love when the depth of the Big 10 gets slapped around for IU and Minnesota. Does the SEC get to pretend that Kentucky and Ole Miss isn't garbage?

    3. I love the Big 10 doesn't win big games argument... 4-2 in BCS games the last 3 seasons.

i'm an Ohio guy through and through, enjoy the big 10, but top to bottom, the SEC is the best confrence.

bama, fl, auburn, lsu have all won titles recently.

You forgot Mississippi State and Vandy in your garbage category. And more recently Tennessee. They also just watered down the conference with two average teams while the Big 12 added two ranked teams that were both conference champs last season.

But yes...SEC is still king. I'll be at the South Carolina/UGA game this year. Can't wait. It will by my 10th SEC stadium. Still have to get to the swamp and to Athens for a game.

I'd love to see the matchups in the games listed in #3.

Also, it's the entire big 10 other than OSU that stinks. The conf has no depth whatsoever. It's a mix of avg and shit teams

I hope boise destroys MSU on Friday night. Mickey Tettleton and Ohio are gonna stomp PSU...western michigan with alex carder has a good chance to beat illinois...and I'm sure bama will beat michigan

OK, I'm done. I will wait til the end of the year to remind everyone how shitty this conf is

i'm too lazy to dig up all the games, but buckeyes went 2-0 in bcs games in the last three years. beating oregon and arkansas.

5-3 over the last 10 years in BCS games, although one was vs. ND..not sure that counts.

I think the Big 10 is going to have a rough year. Michigan has a much tougher schedule, osu is on probation and wiscy needs to find a QB.

wisconsin has danny obrien, who transferred from maryland two years ago (had to sit out last year because of the transfer rule). he was pretty good as a frosh at maryland. he could be decent for them

they also run the ball pretty well.

WI should be solid. just about everyone is picking them to be in the big 10 title game....not it means much with the division they are playing in

I like the way wisconsin runs their program. They are one of the few teams in that conf that I respect.

I will miss betting on russell wilson. Loved him at NC ST and wiscy last year.

I'm so pumped up for thursday night. towson vs kent st  ...time to defend the CAA title!!

I like Wiscy as well and obviously they'll play in the champ game. Texas went after their OC and OL coach two years ago and everyone down here was hoping it would work out.

I'm not saying this will happen, but don't be shocked if IL or Purdue wins that division.

Purdue could def be a sleeper. Not sure if Marve won their starting QB gig, but that dude can play

Purdue just needs a super scandal to hit Wisconsin and they are almost in the title game be default this year.

I think Purdue is going to play a two-QB set again this year with Marve and Caleb TerBush.

Purdue's biggest overall weakness is that player's knees tend to explode at random. I believe the expansion of Mackey Arena was built on ancient Indian burial grounds.

I have avoided Penn State talk for obvious reasons but the Times has an article today on O'Brien that is pretty fantastic. I was obviously skeptical of the hiring at first, but he has done an outstanding job so far, before a game has even been played.

They are obviously going to be pretty terrible for a while, although they do have the potential for a decent win total this year, given the schedule but he has handled a brutal situation pretty damn well.
