no hurt. big ten is down right now. no doubt about it, plus they have MN & IN fielding "teams".

Ohio State should be back next year.

Until the Big10 wins some big games, it will keep being this way. It would be nice to see UM beat Bama to start the year, but I doubt it. UM still 2 years out.

    Going to be SEC again.

when was last year conf wasn't 'down' though? they haven't had a true national title contender in almost a decade...since the maurice clarett days.

meyer will make a difference, but OSU wasn't this conf's issue. It's the rest of the dreck members that the media loves to overrate

I agree. It's the same thing every year. Over hyped and they blow it when it comes down to the big game.

1st point is way off. Ohio State competed for 3 times in the last decade.

i agree, OSU isn't the problem. the confrence as a whole is littered with junk like MN and IN and a bunch of mid level programs like WI, IA, MSU, PSU and then a bunch more lower level programs Purdue and IL

at the end of the day, it's not a power house football confrence...and soon it will be back to the big 2 little 10 if you assume MI is back on track and Ohio State will be next year.

this is a rebuilding/install offense year

next year is a compete year.

the year after is hopefully a title run year.

i agree on Braxton. he has talent, but he needs to learn throw a nice pass. he was brutal last year on anything over 15-20 yards, and even the short stuff was a bit of a challenge. if he learns to throw, he will be a beast, if not, on to the next guy in line.

SEC is far and away best conf

Pac 12 is on the way up though. New coaches in that conf are going to solidify the 2 spot for them going fwd

Big 12 is third...will stay this way because they play absolutely no defense

    Then it's everyone else

Goin to be in Vegas next weekend for 1st college FB weekend. Some pretty good matchups for it being the 1st weekend. Don't pay really close attention to college, but I'll definitely be throwing down some action at the sportsbook.

Boise St. vs. Mich St. on Fri night
    Miami vs. BC
    Michigan vs. Alabama

Nice dude. Almost time to start looking at the lines. betting on college football is one of my favorite things to do in life. I cannot wait for the season to start

Haven't even looked at the schedule. Hoping there aren't too many good games on sunday as I will be bombed at a certain concert.

    facepalm to the B1G bashing.

    1. It is the SEC, USC and everyone else.
    - During the SEC streak of 6 straight titles, it is important to note that not just the best from the B1G got beat in those games, also the best from the B12 (Texas and Oklahoma) and Pac12 (Oregon) loss to the SEC.

    2. It isn't the entire SEC, it is 4 programs (and currently just 2)
    - the SEC as a whole benefits from the power of Bama and LSU. Eveyone else gets a boost. If you put SCar or Arkansas in a different conference, neither of those teams would be ranked in the top 10 right now. Furthermore, I love when the depth of the Big 10 gets slapped around for IU and Minnesota. Does the SEC get to pretend that Kentucky and Ole Miss isn't garbage?

    3. I love the Big 10 doesn't win big games argument... 4-2 in BCS games the last 3 seasons.
    Chicago 6/29/98 - Nashville 8/17/00 - Cleveland 4/25/03- Chicago 6/18/03
    Chicago 5/16/06 - Milwaukee 6/30/06 - Bonnaroo 6/14/08 - Milwaukee (EV)8/19/08
    Chicago 8/23/09 - St. Louis 5/4/10 - East Troy 9/3/11 - East Troy 9/4/11
    Minor League Park 7/19/13 - Milwaukee 10-20-14 - Bonnaroo 6/11/16
Minor League Park 8/20/16 - Minor League Park 8/22/16

i'm an Ohio guy through and through, enjoy the big 10, but top to bottom, the SEC is the best confrence.

bama, fl, auburn, lsu have all won titles recently.

You forgot Mississippi State and Vandy in your garbage category. And more recently Tennessee. They also just watered down the conference with two average teams while the Big 12 added two ranked teams that were both conference champs last season.

But yes...SEC is still king. I'll be at the South Carolina/UGA game this year. Can't wait. It will by my 10th SEC stadium. Still have to get to the swamp and to Athens for a game.
