I find the preseason USA Today Coaches' poll to be very interesting. I think that a lot of people were assuming that USC would be #1 or #2, but #3 isn't a bad place to start. It's very interesting that #2 Bama has the most first place votes. This is the first time in the history of the Coaches' poll that the preseason #1 team hasn't started off with the most first place votes. Of course the Coaches' poll is more important than the AP poll since the Coaches' poll makes up one-third of the BCS formula.
Five SEC teams in the Top Ten isn't too shabby. Even Florida and Auburn made the Top 25 for seven SEC teams overall.
Oklahoma and Florida State are two teams that have a good shot at making it to the BCS title game in Miami because of their 'easy' schedules in comparison to LSU's and Alabama's much tougher slates. USC could have serious issues with the quality of depth on defense (especially along the front line) and this could end up being the Trojans' downfall at some point.

I thought you had to murder multiple people to get thrown off an SEC team.
i think, after the smack down on psu, coaches are gonna really toe the line when it comes to infractions...not that a player getting caught with weed is on the level of psu, but there's a lot of scrutiny on cfb and programs need to run tight ships
(Sigh) I was so looking forward to Brent Musberger's homoerotic commentary on the Honey Badger this year. :(
there's still a chance...say he transfers to Towson so he doesn't lose elligibilty it gives him one last chance to play at LSU as a Tiger. Brent would go haywire!
That's not the rule. The rule is you have to be 3 years out of high school. Now for most kids there isn't a distinction, but there could be a few cases where it matters. Kids can skip grades or reclassify to graduate earlier, which is why it's three years after graduating high school.
Even if he was 3 years out of high school, he would have to go through the draft process (either regular or supplemental) and be undrafted before being eligible to be a free agent.
If it's true that he was kicked off the team because of failing multiple drug tests, he would only be eligible to play at the NAIA or JuCo level. You have to be in good academic standing and not facing suspension/dismissal in order to transfer to another NCAA institution regardless of level (FBS, FCS, D2, D3). I would bet he goes the JuCo route. He'd have more options that way because he could go pro like many think he would do anyways or transfer to another FBS program without having to sit the transfer year. He will definitely be a risk no matter what he does, but it's been proven over and over that someone will give him a shot.

Hardy har.
I just figured I shouldn't be making judgments about Bri'onte's mom. Nor use such vulgar language towards UM...
However, if I had to choose between cheering for USC or shaving my head and the only other option was death...I would shave my head.
you can never use to much vulgar language towards michigan.
