I'm of the opinion that if you are undefeated, you should be ahead of teams with one loss if you are in one of the power 5 conferences. Washington goon should be ahead of A&M. I know they have a weaker out of conference schedule. I also know that the PAC 10 isn't as good as in years past. But Washington should not be penalized for the conference not being as good as they were.

Both teams have weak out of conference schedules. But Washington has one less with them playing 9 conference games. I give Washington the edge especially with A&M's last OOC game being the 2nd to last week of the season.

But they did get beat by another SEC school so they will probably only drop a few spots. Mississippi will then catapult into the middle of the top 25 or some shit.

Yep. The SEC has Alabama. That's it. Top to bottom the B1G is way better.
I know neither of us are SEC fans and I think there are some general criticisms to be made toward/about the SEC that hold water. I do think, however, that the SEC is the best conference in college ball, and it has been for a number of years.

SEC is not as high as they may have been before --- and the opposite is true about the Big 14....they are better this year than they have been in a while.

Look at the SEC West - if we operate on the basis that Auburn is a pretty damn good team (watch them, they are) then Bama is good, Auburn is good, LSU is down because their team blew a game they should have won against a good Wisc team. A&M? Does losing 1 game mean you are not good? Because losing to Bama at this point is to be expected, so they only lost 1 game so far, the one they blew this weekend.

I give SEC maybe 5 good teams:

    Bama
Auburn (lost a close game 19-13 to Clemson early, lost to Ark)
A&M - (Punched by BAMA, spotted MISS ST a big lead before losing by a TD)
LSU (totally blew the game vs. WISC in Green Bay, lost to Auburn, lost to Bama)
Ark (Lost to Bama, A&M, Auburn)

Granted the East isn't great...but there are some decent teams there - certainly Florida and the ilk are better than the middle of the road Big 14 teams.

Bowl season will tell us more because they haven't gone H2H yet, really.

I give the Big 14 maybe 4 good teams.

I will give you that Michigan looks badass. (Still think Bama throws them down a flight of stairs)
OSU looks strong, 1 slip up vs. Penn State doesnt meant they are not a legitimate contender.
Penn State -- sorry, not fully buying but I hope they are good. (More fun locally) Understand Michigan loss and Pitt was a tough one. OSU is a huge win.
Wisc - losing to Michigan and OSU. Otherwise a great win vs LSU and a really good D, even if coached by that joke of a D Coord.
Nebraska - not buying it. They lost to the only 2 good teams they faced. Would get skulled by an average SEC team. This is like saying my beloved Trojans are good. They boat raced a bunch of shitball teams. Woo-hoo. Do it against someone good.
Minnesota - see Nebraska. These guys would get boat raced by any average SEC team.
Rest of conference -- steaming pile of below average

Here is the real truth -- or at least a silly version of a joking truth -- until the Big 10 changes their name from the Big 10 they should not be allowed to win anything. Just straight stupid.

I am actually biased against the SEC and hate them getting all of the love....but I watch a lot of their games since the Northeast mostly produces shit football and USC is on later. (Although they are barely worth watching this year.)

Evil Dr Saban & Bama slaps Harbaugh or Meyer around like girly men in the CFP. Hope we see some bowl games of some of the lesser teams squaring off so we can revisit this post and make fun of me...or I can share it again in January.

Is Big 14 better than they were? Oh yeah -- Michigan is joining OSU as legitimate powers again and PSU/WI give them 2 other teams that can be really good.
In a down year the SEC still reigns supreme IMO.

Just my opinion -- everyone except for Wobbie has the freedom to share criticisms of it or make a mockery of it. As much as I like Wobbie, dude roots for 37 different teams and maintains little credibility in my book on this subject. (That emoji is your favorite, I know that Wobbie)

OSU vs Bama 2 years ago was excellent play calling by OSU offensive coordinator who is now at Houston.
They beat us fair and square but Kiffin's play-calling in the 2nd half was embarrassing. we have a lot faster Defense now and Elliot wouldn't expose us like he did that year. Wob--- SEE: Leonard Fournette for reference.

Brett- great analysis and remember the SEC is way down this year. EAST is a fucking joke.

You talking about the guy that continuously used boxing cliches? I could have done without that guy.
