Major announcement from Aftershock Festival tomorrow. Speculation is RATM might be the headliner for the Saturday between Metallica sets.

I am pot committed to go to Coachella essentially to see Rage, and the other fest I am doing is Aftershock. I guess it would be cool to see them twice in a year after never seeing them.

That won't be happening.  They sign contracts that they aren't allowed to do them in a couple hundred mile radius.
Tool played in Augusta, ME the night before their headlining Boston Calling set. Maybe it's a 150 mile radius or bands can negotiate or who knows.

Edit: It was actually Bangor, so maybe 200 is the number. They did Rochester 2 nights later.
Other bands are more.  Every big healiner PJ does they haven't played another show in like 500 miles.

I'm not sure how big a thing Boston Calling is?

It's big. 40k per day. Headliners this year are Foos, Chili Peppers, and Rage. Last few years have included Tool, Eminem, Travis Scott, Jack White, Killers, Mumford, Chance.

40K is a decent size.  After going to ACl and seeing what kind of crowds they get is impressive so 40k is a stadium show.

Ugh.. after 2012 Music Midtown with PJ and FF, I swore I was done with festivals.  I hope they don't make me go.

So tying it back to additional Rage shows in the northeast, it seems feasible based on Boston Calling's history but who knows what they have planned

Saturday headliner is My Chemical Romance, for fuck's sake. That does not qualify as a "major" announcement.

I was surprised to find out that there's still no details about the New Mexico and Phoenix dates?

Or the Fresno, California date. I mean shit, they haven’t even announced the show yet. They are way behind. 🤪🤪🤪
    Peace,Love and Pearl Jam.

Between the delay in announcing Boston Calling, and now the delay in getting infor for the other Rage dates... I wonder if it’s normal industry bs or if it isn’t something bigger, with the band.

I'm hoping bigger.  Originally it was those 5 rumoured dates.   Then Prophets of Rage announced they were disbanding.    You'd think PoR wouldn't bother disbanding if RATM was only going to do 5 shows.

Hoping they play a little closer to the pacific northwest than southern california.

Scored my Boston Calling tickets. $180 for that lineup is crazy but I would have paid more. Can't wait for this show!

Sweet!  Vancouver on May 1st!!  It's at the coliseum :( but at least there's a show!!

The downside is I'm on Oakland for PJ.... schedule prohibits us from staying 2 extra days for the RATM show.   Still going to be a helluva couple weeks.
