Rumor is that they are performing at Louder than Life in Louisville Sept 19...in between Metallica performances on Fri and Sun
What's the deal with Metallica headlining 2 nights at festivals? They're doing that at Sonic Temple and Rockville, too.
Metallica is playing two different setlists on two separate nights at Rockville. I’m not sure about the other festivals, but i’d assume it’s the same thing.

I’m glad they are fake. The only California shows are at the partial abortion that is Coachella. I want to see Rage but would never subject myself to Coachella for any band. Pearl Jam included. Everything that is wrong in life is summarized by Coachella.
100% Agree! I'm so glad PJ will play the LA Forum, not a festival. I love Rage, all albums. Killing in the name is my favorite song. Not going to Coachella, hope they play somewhere else.
Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river
Reminds me of when the Pumpkins reunited and I was umming and aahing about missioning it to Reading just for them and having to sit through that shitpile (NIN excepted). They'd sold out Shepherds Bush Empire and I was whinging about it to my cousin. He asked "How much is the ticket?" I said "£70". He said "How much is a train?" I said "£30". He said "So, with that mission and the ticket and food, drinks etc, you'd spend at least £100, right?" I said "Yeah, probably",at which point he said "Right, so you owe me £100". Fucker picked up two tickets to the Shepherds Bush gig on eBay. Since he lived off Shepherds Bush Road the "mission" was a two minute walk. Win

I’ll be facing a dilemma if they play Boston Calling.
I really don’t want to deal with that shitshow for one band.
I'm hoping they have at least one other decent band on the same day.
Aaaaaaand they do not. Depending on how you feel about RTJ.
Yeah the Saturday lineup sucks donkey balls aside from Rage. Sunday is overall the best lineup, but only venturing into that fray one time. So will just do a late Saturday arrival. Probably going to be stupid money to essentially just see Rage, but I'm sure this will be their only show in New England, and who knows if/when they may be back.
Officially announced headlining Saturday May 23 at Boston Calling festival
Any idea when or if single day passes will happen?
Not as yet. Would think sometime in next couple weeks. They'll try and sell more 3 day passes right now (just bumped those up to $399 this morning from $339) with the bounce from the announcement.

Thats a pretty big jump. Wish I could have bought the $339 GA ticket but the prices of accommodations are crazy in Boston that weekend. Way too expensive of a trip. I am going to just do RATM. Whats your plans?
Hope they do some standalone dates on the east coast
So do i see them at Firefly or pray and wait til they hopefully play philly?

I would like to see Rage again, but based on the lineup, I'm not even motivated to look at the prices.
I think I'll keep my Memorial Day open.

Edit: It was actually Bangor, so maybe 200 is the number. They did Rochester 2 nights later.
