i agree the devils have been playing very well, but did the flyers lose this series more than the devils won?

after the flyers beat the pens everyone went bat shit crazy and was already putting their roster on the cup. goes to show how shitty the pens played first round. if the flyers got goaltending and defense, no chance this series ends tonight.

    great point.

NJ seemed to stifle the Flyer forwards and overall puck possession.

    No

i'm not discrediting anything the devils have done, but in the first round they drew the golden ticket with the panthers (and barely won, blew a couple three goal leads in that series too), and then they drew the golden ticket second round against bryzgalov.

people will start talking about the devils now just like people were talking the flyers after the flyers beat the pens.

when the devils play the caps or rangers, they are in for a real tough series. toughest they have seen so far, and i don't think they advance regardless of who they play.

devils played there game and the flyers played right into it.

flyers couldn't skate the puck in, so the dumped it in....and marty played it out. devils were able to impose their will, flyers wilted and ultimatly became frustrated resulting in a G suspension.

I can't tell you how many of my facebook friends are all of a sudden Ranger fans. They never talked a day of hockey in their lives, but now they are the biggest fans. I'm actually surprised it didn't happen more with the Giants earlier this year, but I guess they got hot at the very end and didnt give people much of a chance to jump on the bandwagon, whereas the Rangers have been the #1 seed in the East for a while.

This run by the Devils sure is surprising to me.
