I know exactly what you're saying. It's hard not to - you have repeated yourselves to the point of boredom. What I'm interested in is how you can logically justify it. It's you who can't (or refuses to get your head around that. The more often you sidestep the question, the more obvious it becomes that you have no answer and lack the basic moral and human decency to face that.

And yet I doubt you would call for clemency for the countless cases I've come across where there has been significant questions raised, including new evidence, which is then ignored by the courts, and despite the lack of 100% proof that person has been executed. Fact of the matter is, you will be hard-pressed to find many executions that have been carried out that were 100% certain, so by your own admission, you should reject the death penalty in the vast majority of capital cases.

Completely false logic. In all of the previous cases, you are talking about what passively happens to you through your own actions and no one else. There is no direct correlation. It is a completely invalid point.

executing a murderer is not unlawful.

It is where I come from.

I don't think we are debating that. What is being debated is the consequence itself. One is killing a person to avenge the killing of another one. Not really for punishment, in my opinion, but for revenge.
