Robinson Jeffers once said, "I'd sooner, except the penalties, kill a man than a hawk"
To that I will add:
I'd sooner cry for a dead tree than a dead man.
See, one has proven itself invaluable to the planet and our own existence. The other, the exact opposite. I'll let you do the math.Idaho's Premier Outdoor Writer

I love nature... am all about preserving the natural environment... BUT those wankers need to a swift kick to their genitalia.Everything not forbidden is compulsory and eveything not compulsory is forbidden. You are free... free to do what the government says you can do.0

what's the big deal? ... what does it matter to you what others do that has absolutely zero impact on you or anyone you know?
some people act like that at the mention of the word "tax" ... :roll:0 -

doesn't matter at all to me... they are certainly free to express themselves however they want. I just think the way they have chosen to do so is pathetic beyond fucking measure. Grow a set and make yourself heard! Shit man life is too short and these causes are too important to sit around crying about it.Everything not forbidden is compulsory and eveything not compulsory is forbidden. cool. But the part where they cry (fake-cry, actually) about a dead-tree is so incredibly pathetic it is beyond measure.Everything not forbidden is compulsory and eveything not compulsory is forbidden. You are free... free to do what the government says you can do.0 -

with all due respect - you are judging something you know absolutely nothing about ... do you watch documentaries about chanting tribal groups in the amazon and say they are pathetic?? ...0 -
I take it back.. I did act this way when i knocked over a beer and it ruined my last nugg..0

with all due respect... I know about crying... and I know about trees. How the fuck can you compare this situation with a foreign culture's "chant" documentary? Are you high?Everything not forbidden is compulsory and eveything not compulsory is forbidden. You are free... free to do what the government says you can do.0 -

Sure, lots of people do. However, I suspect the cockroaches will have the last one.Idaho's Premier Outdoor Writer

who said it?
love it.
don't watch you tube at work, but well, trees are important no?
if someone wants to cry over em, more power to em. hurts no one.
just don't take bereavement leave over your pet, or dunk will hunt you down.Stay with me...
Let's just breathe...
I am myself like you somehow0 -
this is a post below that video. It is exactly what I was thinking:
"I wonder how many people watching this video, laughing at these people's emotional outbursts over trees believe in a magical man who can reward them with eternal life who actively monitors their day to day life.
Look in the mirror. Crazy is crazy, no matter how you spin it. "
I'm also wondering who's crying for the blades of grass that these people are so calously crushing with their dirty bums as they sit and cry and hard shoes as they walk on by?Gimli 1993

I too love nature and believe we should do all we can to preserve it but these tossers make me want to destroy a tree just to spite them.0 -

lord byron.
There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society where none intrudes,
By the deep Sea, and music in its roar:
I love not Man the less, but Nature more,
From these our interviews, in which I steal
From all I may be, or have been before,
To mingle with the Universe, and feel
What I can ne’er express, yet cannot all conceal.
Roll on, thou deep and dark blue Ocean - roll!
Ten thousand fleets sweep over thee in vain;
Man marks the earth with ruin - his control
Stops with the shore; - upon the watery plain
The wrecks are all thy deed, nor doth remain
A shadow of man’s ravage, save his own,
When for a moment, like a drop of rain,
He sinks into thy depths with bubbling groan,
Without a grave, unknelled, uncoffined, and unknown.
hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say0 -

if you have ever witnessed the tree cutting guys and how they drop a tree and whoot and hollar and applaud,
it can make you cry.
watching the death of a tree that has stood for over a century enjoying life and each season
then seeing the empty space that the birds fly through
it can break your heart
this is why I live in the woods0
