Fowler looks like an extra on the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

It was excruciating watching Kevin Na go through that crap yesterday.

    I want Kuch-dog today.

anyone else hitting the links this week? i've got two lined up Mt. Pleasant in B'more, and University of Illinois Orange Course. Hoping to get 20 rounds in this year, already at 5.

Played twice this weekend. Shot 84 with 2 birdies at a difficult private course south of Boston on Thursday, then followed it up with a 39 (9 holes) with 2 more birdies at a public course on Cape Cod Saturday. I'll be shocked if I can keep up my pace of one birdie every 6.75 holes, but I'm very pleased with my play so far this season.

I typically play 75-85 rounds a year and my next round will be #20 and thanks to the mild winter all have been played in
    NY/NJ.

That's awesome I can't freaking buy a birdie lately haven't made one in 10 rounds. I played yesterday went 40/42 with 10 pars but cant seem to get anything to drop.

Took my 6 year old out Friday to an executive course near our place. I've had him out with me before on a "real" course, but just to hit tee shots and hit into the green from less than 50 in.

We get to the 12 or 13th hole at this exec course and it's 84 yards from the short tees. He blasts this drive pin high about a foot off the green. Dude was all pumped up. He said he wanted a par - obviously would be his first. Duffs the chip, chips through the green. Gets on and probably 4 putts. I told him, "way to blow a great drive, you play just like your old man"

Great story. That's awesome. He'll have his short game down by 9.

Rhein Gibson shot the lowest known 18-hole score in the history of golf Saturday when he blazed his way to a 16-under-par 55 at River Oaks Country Club in Edmond.

River Oaks is a par 71 which measures 6,698 yards from the tips and was playing close to that, according to owner Andy McCormick.

Gibson made 12 birdies and two eagles along with four pars. Thanks to texting and twitter, some 30 folks had gathered to watch by the final hole, where he rolled in a 5-foot birdie putt for the 55.

Shot my first sub 100 round this year. 50 on the front, 49 on the back. Had a hell of a 2 on a par 3 too. 175 yards to 4 feet on a tiny green

Yeah, man. Been out pretty much every weekend since early March, missed a weekend here and there for travelling. Said this was the year I get going again and it seems like it is this time. Getting a lot more consistent, which is awesome. I just need to figure it out off the tee. If I can do that, I will put up some decent numbers.

DUBLIN, Ohio — Phil Mickelson has withdrawn from the Memorial because of mental fatigue.

Mickelson opened with a 79, his worst score in his 12 appearances at Muirfield Village. He says a trip to Europe to celebrate his wife’s 40th birthday, and then returning home for a corporate outing and the pro-am took a lot out of him. With the U.S. Open in two weeks, Mickelson says he’s thinking “big picture” by going home to rest for a few days.

The four-time major champion believes it’s a responsibility for a player to finish a tournament. He says he’s overruling himself in this case.

It’s the first time Mickelson has withdrawn without physical injury. The last time he left a tournament early was at the Memorial four years ago because of a wrist injury.
