Wish I was at home right now watching this. Streaming on my phone will have to do for now. Surprisingly good quality through the watch espn app.

What a putt by Bradley to put that match away!!

was all blue in the morning ... looks like lefty and keegan has kicked started the americans ... this is usually the europeans best format ... so, tied or up a pt is going to be huge ...

looks like it'll be 2-2 going into fourball ... i'd be surprised if the americans didn't take 3 out of 4 this afternoon ... possibly sweep ...

edit: can't believe they are sitting poulter this afternoon ... the guy's record in ryder cup is ridiculous ...

    5-3 USA after day 1
After a brutal start to the day for Tiger, what an afternoon round. 7 birdies his own ball...took an unbelievable round of 8 birds and an eagle to beat him!
Wonder what Davis does for the morning round...Stricker needs sit down for a session (imo)...
I'd love to see Bubba and Tiger paired up. Especially in fourball...
    How about the rooks? Wow.
    What a great day!
    GO USA!!!
    Gotta love the Ryder Cup!

    Colsaerts. What a day.
Europe always seems to have an unknown step to the forefront.Gilford,Howell,McGinley to name a few.
No tiger Saturday morning.First time in his Ryder Cup career that he will sit.No Stricker,Kucher or D.Johnson.
    Little boost here for Europe.
I bet the tiger lovers won't even watch on Saturday morning .
    Go Europe.

This is wayyyy bigger than Tiger and his fans ('lovers' is a tad weird) - remember 2008? (No Tiger)
This Tiger fan is glued to it right now and loving the fact Europe is down in all 4 matches as I type this...
    USA USA USA
Can you imagine how the Europeans will feel if they get housed this morning w/ NO TIGER?:lol::lol:
Remember, he had 7 birdies on his own ball yesterday good sir.
Glad Stricker is sitting. Hopefully he got rest, went to the putting green (his putting was atrocious yesterday and his short irons were unbecoming of his game).
Colsearts was amazing yesterday, but also, we both know he will not be dropping those putts at that rate again this weekend.
    GO USA

Hope you and the crew have a great time Norm! Should be a blast. Those of us who cannot go, will be here waiting for setlist/poster/merch updates living vicariously through all of you, for sure!
    In the meantime,
    USA USA USA
6-4 right now - looks like a 3-1 USA morning (fingers crossed on Furyk/BS & Dufner/ZJ teams finishing strong)
SHOCKED that Phil/Keenan (3-0) is being benched for Woods/Stricker (0-2) in the pm...guess Phil was right when he said why sacrifice 1 pt today for 2 tomorrow.
GO USA - the pm matches look like doozies.

    POULTER!
Tough, tough hill to climb for the Euros on Sunday. But,it could have been much worse.
Even with the score a little lopsided,it has been riveting exciting golf for all the fans.
    Go Europe.

Poulter, 11-3-0 in Ryder Cups, just is so much fun to watch...really, to birdie the last 5 holes today the way he did, wow...amazing, gritty, fierce competitor...poor Webb Simpson tomorrow
That being said, I think the route is on and USA wins this thing 18-10, maybe even 19-9...it shouldn't even come down to Zach, Dustin, Furyk, Dufner, Kuchar, Stricker or Woods...(in fact, we may be in trouble if we need to count on Stricker, Kuchar or DJ tomorrow)
If Westwood, Kaymer or Hanson were playing well, tomorrow would be so much different...
Colsaerts (as predicted above btw ;) ) blew his wad Friday, couldn't sniff a birdie today and it was ALL JUNIOR PROM for him today (all lip no hole)
Heck of a Ryder Cup, I just love it!

I have seen my share of Ryder Cups and this was absolutely one of the best ever.
There were a few moments where I could barely bring myself to watch.
One of the best comebacks of all time!
This is why golf is great.Anything can happen.
I'll bet the tiger lovers were thinking it would all come down to him on 18,and he would be the hero.It ended perfectly.
tiger and Stricker had dismal matches all 3 days.Except for tigers' birdie run Fri.But he just can't keep it going anymore.
Good show USA,see you at Gleneagles in '14
    Thanks Seve!

the what ifs are gonna be huge ... think both captains made poor decisions ...

but the worst was sitting phil and keegan on saturday afternoon ... still didn't see this coming but wow ... maybe too much crowd pumping got the europeans going ... and poulter is becoming the most clutch ryder cup golfer ever ...

Nope, wrong again, Rough Mix...never came down to Tiger...
Sat afternoon Tiger = 5 under on back 9 (wth were u watching???)
Rose, Poulter, Kaymer, Donald = all played clutch - Furyk and Stricker choked, Bradley got overmatched...
Great job Europe. Spectacular Ryder Cup. Davis' picks on sat for sure will be questioned, but you can't question the will and want of the Europeans - they wanted it more today (8.5 to 3.5) and it showed.
    Congrats - can't wait for 2014.

tiger was awful ... a stretch of birdies doesn't make up for the fact he didn't play well at all ... it's pretty clear that his reconstructed golf swing doesn't hold up to pressure ... when it matters most - it fails him ... time to start over ...

    agreed 100%

I was stunned when lefty and keggan weren't playing on Saturday. Even more stunned after taking a nap inbetween my 2 shifts and finding out the euros pulled a brookline 99. Not for anything I woulda had tiger gone first and saved bubba as last.

watching the press conference right now ... they were always gonna sit in the afternoon and apparently phil said that davis should not play them in the afternoon ...

    This is bigger than Brookline.
The matches were won on foreign soil and the U.S.A.(Davis Love) had a say in the course set up.

Yeah, how the hell do you sit Mickelson and Bradley after how well they played together?? Davis Love said he was worried about them being fresh for Sunday.....It's the fucking Ryder Cup!!! You ride your best players. The lineup of players was interesting Saturday....why put Stricker 11th when he had struggled most of the weekend?

after watching the press conference ... if anyone is gonna be blamed for lefty and bradley not playing saturday afternoon - it's phil ...

i think davis did a good job of using his players but his captain's picks really let him down ... also, maybe he should have reverse-stacked his lineup knowing what the europeans were gonna do ... if he sent his best out early and they lost - he was gonna be in big trouble and that's what happened ...

still tho ... up 10-4 ... crazy shit had to happen for the americans to lose and crazy shit happened ... poulter's 5 straight birdies ... just rose finishing birdie birdie after a huge par save ... then furyk and stricker caving under the pressure ...

Yep...Europe was clutch and made some huge putts. No one on the US could hit a big putt at all yesterday.
