I don't know what bothered me more.....finding out Tiger was a horrible husband/man or finding out Tiger loves Nickelback.

...anyway if he can settle on a putting grip and become close to as good a putter as he was then he has a shot at 5 more majors. I expect him to get atleast one this year.....if he doesn't then I have a feeling he won't get to 19.

anyone else get out for a round yet? tossed up a 116 (65/51) from the back tees, 6800+ (the tips were 7200) in the DR with rental clubs that were from the 80s and a bag of crappy balls, but at least i hit a few - too many. Wanna bust 100 from the tips at Renditions this year, and then start moving down toward 90. My putting at the end of last year was as good as ever hopefully will pull that back out. Big goal of the year is to get a couple lessons and start adding the draw back to my game once again so that I can go left when needed. I still contend the baby fade, while cutting 10-20 yards from every shot is lovely because when it's working the game becomes like darts.

Never saw this thread before...I work at a golf course here in the bay area http://www.thebridgesgolf.com

Working at a golf course can be fun but a lot of times I end up not playing as much because I don't wanna be around the course on my days off.

Some of the cool places I've played:
    Pebble Beach
    Spyglass
    Spanish Bay
    Bandon Dunes
    Pacific Dunes
    Old Macdonald
    Bandon Trails
    Stanford Golf Club
    Olympic Club
    Bali Hai
    Royal Links
    San Francisco Golf Club
    Montreux Golf Club
    Torrey Pines

I'm a lefty so I'm a big Phil Mickelson and Bubba Watson fan...looking forward to this coming golf season with Tiger looking better, US Open at Olympic Club, and the Ryder Cup.

Couldnt sleep and pretty much watched tigers whole round..still cant hit a fairway with the big stick but he is looking better and better with every round. I think he'll win the masters. He almost one last year and he was still a headcase and injured then.

Oh man do I have a story for you guys. I played my first round of the year about 3 weeks ago on 1/7 at Mansion Ridge a Jack Nicklaus course up in NY. I was playing with a friend of mine in a twosome and we were playing hybrid tees that day and we came to the 4th hole which was playing as a 325 yard par 4.

We had a little wind behind us and the hole plays downhill. I hit a really nice drive with my Ping G20 driver perfect ballflight knew I would be down close to the green figured I would be no more than 40-50 yards out.  I told my buddy who never played the course to hit it the same direction and he did. We were in a cart and drove down the hill and when we got sight of the green the 4 guys were all waving their arms in the air going nuts.

My first thought was we hit into them but they started yelling that the ball went into the hole. I looked at my buddy and we were like WTF so I yelled out which one and they held up the number one. I was totally stunned and couldn't believe it until I went up to the hole and my ball was sitting in the cup.

I never had a hole in one but have holed out 3 eagles in my life 165/110/168 however I never ever expected anything like this.  I actually didn't go crazy at all as I was in total shock at what had just happened. I actually held it together and put a 38 on the front but fell apart a little on the back with a 42 which didn't bother me at all after what happened.

After the round I went into the clubhouse and told the staff what had happened. They were really great and actually went out and got the flag for me and a few days later I got a email from Jack Nicklaus's personal asst who said if I mailed in the flag Jack would sign it for me. I definitely post a picture of that when I get it back.

I got off kinda easy on the bar tab it was only 90 as it wasn't crowded at all but I would've paid whatever that day.

I can't wait until my home course reopens not only did I have my buddy as a witness but one  of the guys on the green in the foursome in front of us who witnessed my albatross was a friend of mine who is a NYS judge and plays with me and my friends all the time at my home course.

Think you're looking mid 50's around that time, I've played pinehurst 2,4 & 8 all great courses definitely go with a caddy if you play 2 which is hosting the open next year. I stayed at the resort and it's first class all the way. Not a lot to do outside the place just a warning. You should also check out Tobacco road which is a half hour away, let's just say its a very interesting course lol.

any restaurant suggestions? ... we're heading there next week ... also - playing tobacco road ...

edit: congratulations on that ace/albatross!! ... i've holed out for eagle once 162 yds ... but that's it ...

I would gladly pay whatever the ridiculous amount of money it is to play there to shoot 140.
