Birthright citizenship is a worthy topic to debate, and then change through the appropriate Constitutional process; not through executive order.

You couldn’t define “common sense citizen control” if you had a Doctorate degree or a degree of common sense.

How are we to know why they are doing this and no one here has suggested that let’s just open the borders and let everyone in ! Let me ask you this are you ok with this administration stating that I’d be ok to shoot them if they throw rocks , or would you rather they start with attack dogs and water canons first and then move to bullets ..

There's something in between no borders and stationing military there to open fire (which we all know is just Trump being an asshole).  I'm not sure how they are "demanding" entry.  Is it through a series of menacing notes, smoke signals, what?  What is this entry demand you claim is happening?  Or are you just using overstated verbs to make is sound scary?  I know after Trump's presser yesterday, I'm definitely afraid for my white womenfolk.

Only a certain "base" of people are afraid of it. The horde will be upon them very soon.

Is everyone ok with thousands of people marching up to the us border asking for entry?

No one should be afraid of it.  People should be figuring out how to handle it.

This will be the first of many going forward.  The whole world is watching on what we do.

No one has said that and you should tone down the fear mongering rhetoric certain politicians and media are using to describe the situation. What you are describing sounds like a scene from some action movie. It's funny how one little word can make a difference in the portrayal of a situation. Change "demanding" to seeking, requesting or whatever else and it loses the urgency of a violent threat requiring the military locked and loaded.

Jose you answered me with a question and didn't really answer mine.

I'll ask this, "Why are they going to throw rocks at US soldiers?!?"

That wouldn't put them in a very good light.

I'm not okay with open borders.  I'm okay with controlled immigration from Central America for refugees and asylum seekers.  We need to structure it, set up host families, etc.  We need to care for our fellow humans, not demonize them.  Not be frightened of them.  I hear all the time that we are a Christian nation.  Are we?  Do we follow Matthew 25?

“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’“He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

“Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

    Great answer thank you!

I do know the bible says that you are to obey man's law except where in contradicts God's law.  You'll need a scholar to answer that one better than I can though.

Look up a few spots above your comment.  I did realize that people would harp on that one word rather than answer the question so I did change the phrasing of the question.

Yep, a few hundred, not thousands. Again, this isn't an invasion and not everyone will/should be allowed to enter. Let's stop with the shoot to kill mentality. It's dumb as shit and why we get situations where cops in this country fear for their safety over things that didn't need to turn lethal. Rocks = deadly force. Really? How about some context to that vague generalization. A migrant throwing a rock over a fence toward military outfitted personnel is now a criteria for rules of engagement? Our military already does enough heinous shit on foreign soil without that encouragement. A president hurling lies to the American people to stoke their fear should be grounds for engagement. There's a much bigger risk of innocent lives being lost due to him than some half-clothed migrant throwing rocks.

Hundreds of Central Americans following in the footsteps of a thousands-strong migrant caravan making its way toward the U.S. border crossed a river from Guatemala into Mexicoon Monday, defying a heavy Federal Police presence deployed to patrol that country's southern frontier.

A low-flying police helicopter hovered overhead as the migrants waded in large groups through the Suchiate River's murky waters, apparently trying to use the downdraft from its rotors to discourage them. Guatemala's Noti7 channel reported that one man drowned and aired video of a man dragging a seemingly lifeless body from the river.

Once on the Mexican side the migrants were surrounded and escorted by dark-uniformed officers as sirens wailed. The standoff at the riverbank followed a more violent confrontation that occurred on the bridge over the river Sunday night, when migrants threw rocks and used sticks against Mexico police. One migrant died from a head wound during the clash, but the cause was unclear.

The group was much smaller than the first caravan. In the Mexican border town of Ciudad Hidalgo, they said they hoped to continue onward early Tuesday morning.

Far up the road in southern Mexico, the original caravan resumed its advance, still at least 1,000 miles or farther from their goal of reaching the United States as the Pentagon announced it would send 5,200 active-duty troops to "harden" the U.S.-Mexico border. There are already more than 2,000 National Guard troops providing assistance at the border.

The caravan currently has about 4,000 people, but has been dwindling. Earlier this year, only about 200 from a caravan of some 1,000 migrants reached the Tijuana-San Diego frontier.

The Pentagon announcement comes as President Donald Trump has been focusing on the caravan to stir up his base a week before midterm elections. On Monday he tweeted: "This is an invasion of our Country and our Military is waiting for you!"

Something I am curious to ask this group.

Everyone here is ok with thousands of people marching up to the US border and demanding entry?

There's something in between no borders and stationing military there to open fire (which we all know is just Trump being an asshole).  I'm not sure how they are "demanding" entry.  Is it through a series of menacing notes, smoke signals, what?  What is this entry demand you claim is happening?  Or are you just using overstated verbs to make is sound scary?  I know after Trump's presser yesterday, I'm definitely afraid for my white womenfolk.

I'll ask in a different tone since you focused on a word rather than the question.

Is everyone ok with thousands of people marching up to the us border asking for entry?

I'm not okay with open borders.  I'm okay with controlled immigration from Central America for refugees and asylum seekers.  We need to structure it, set up host families, etc.  We need to care for our fellow humans, not demonize them.  Not be frightened of them.  I hear all the time that we are a Christian nation.  Are we?  Do we follow Matthew 25?

“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’“

Also, Trump continually threatens to cut off aid to Central American countries.  I do not know if he has done that yet.  Wouldn't that exacerbate the number of asylum seekers?  Second, we have American businesses that hire undocumented migrants every day, and avoid paying taxes and benefits from those hires.  What are we doing to combat that?  How often do you hear about ICE raiding a business?  Once in a while, but not very often.  How often are criminal penalties levied against those business owners?

War at home and jobs for undocumented workers here are the cause of the migrations, they are not the outcomes.  What has Trump done to attack the causes?  Very little.  He focuses on the poor men, women and children... the least of our brothers.  This is why I and I'm sure many like me, believe he is a racist.  It's not words, it's actions that make little sense if he were actually interested in solving the problem.  Why isn't DACA resolved?  Why isn't there a pathway to citizenship conversation?  Because he doesn't give a shit about the humans in the equation.

Am I the only one that remembers them busting through the fences at the southern Mexican border?

Either way, I probably wouldn’t be picking up rocks if I was part of this caravan...But I would hope the military would use non lethal deterrents first, bean bags and rubber bullets are effective I hear.

Look up a few spots above your comment.  I did realize that people would harp on that one word rather than answer the question so I did change the phrasing of the question.
I responded to you a few days ago too when you asked about what should be done. I am ok with controlled immigration as well. Not everyone is going to get in and shouldn't just be allowed unchecked entry.

When this does happen it usually get's slammed by the media, well at least when I listen to NPR.

Your second point on DACA is something that looks like has been forgotten about.  Trump did ask Congress to figure it out which looks like they don't give a shit to me because they haven't moved forward with anything.  A bipartisan DACA bill shouldn't be too hard to do so I put the blame on both parties for that.
