  • Is there anything worse or more pretentious than the baseball HOF voters? Griffey won't be a unanimous selection because some of these jerkoffs refuse to have a unanimous vote. Anyone who doesn't vote for Griffey should have their vote taken away.

There aren't many things that piss me off more than baseball writers, especially when it comes to HOF voting.
Such elitist douchebags. Shocked that there were only 3 who didn't vote for Griffey. But the fact that there were 3 people who didn't vote for him is still crazy.

  • We should see some more outfirlder signings soon. Cespedes ends up with White Sox, Fowler to the Giants I think are next ones. Upton may be the one left sitting out there waiting for a deal into February if Baltimore re-signs Davis.

So apparently the hall of fame left something like this open to the possibility but Griffey said no. Fucking boo.

Such a beautiful swing. Such a shame Griffey had all those injury problems with the Reds....think he could have come close to the HR record.

And Ken Griffey Baseball for N64 is one of the best video games of all time. Played that game for hours on end back in the day.

I say it every year but the Baseball Hall of Fame has become a joke. You cannot celebrate the history of the game without the career hits leader, career home run leader and the pitcher with the most ever Cy Young awards. Put those guys in the Hall already and if need be mention the steroid era there when you do. the BBWAA are a bunch of self-serving hypocrites.

As a child I thought Griffey would break Aaron's HR record. The about a decade later I thought his former teammate, A-Roid, would break the record. Wrong both times!

i think it's pretty interesting that players are starting to voice their opinion on the HOF ... both Halladay and the Kid seem to agree to keep those guys out ...

Hopefully more like them keep speaking up. The integrity clause is and should be a huge part of getting elected. Yes i realize there may be cheaters already in. Doesn't mean they shouldn't try to do the right thing moving fwd.

    1. No, not just a generation. Barry Bonds is the greatest player of all-time.
    2. Yes.

Statistically speaking, yes, but those stats weren't necessarily legit and earned without aid.

Their statistics are 100% legit and were earned by playing within the rules of the league at the time.

how's that? ... steroids were banned unofficially till they were officially banned in 2005
  • Bonds never officially even popped for steroids. He technically did once on a test he was told was anonymous and would never be used against him or the other players in that survey test. Other than that he never failed a test or was convicted of anything steroid related. Even his one conviction for obstruction has now been thrown out. He is an innocent man damnit.

I'm not stupid but within the rules MLB set he is only suspected of doing them. Much like Piazza who just got in.

Ya and Lance Armstrong never failed a doping test either ... or at least one that wasn't covered up for him ...

I'm not sure how he fits within the rules MLB set ... people hanging on to the fact he didn't test positive?
