The Rangers collapse is enough to make the Cowboys proud. I forget the exact numbers, but they were discussing it during the game and I think they said they had spent 174 days in first place, but lost 9 of their last 13. I know some people who are very upset tonight. I didn't even know the Rangers hadn't won their division until today because the local media was reporting they had it locked a couple of weeks ago.

He's made it pretty clear that his top priority is $$$. With his combination of talent + baggage, I wouldn't want to guess what he's going to be worth.

the last week cost him some money. I don't think the boos he heard last night will do much toward him wanting to take a hometown discount.

After the game he said the boos didn't bother him.
But he talked like he's played his last game for Texas.

Yeah, I think he's devalued himself a lot recently, not to mention his relapse earlier in the season. He says he'll give the Rangers the option to match any offers he gets but I'm curious to see who's going to want him.

    GO ORIOLES!

I don't think the O's have the starting pitching.
  • Ya know, I really don't like this system of the lower seeded team getting the first two games at home. Sure the other team still has the "advantage" cause they still get more home games (and the last game at home). And, if the higher seeded team wins game 1 or 2 like Washington did today, they're pretty much home-free so they keep their advantage. But the first game on the road? The FIRST game of the postseason on the road when you had the best record in the league? Weird.

If I'm not mistaken though, it's only gonna be like that this year...which makes it even stupider.

I couldn't agree more. This first round format is an absolute joke and just further proves that Selig is a moron. And yes it is only this year for the first round of the playoffs because there supposedly was not enough travel time because of the stupid wildcard game.
