Yanks needed to win last night. Too many runners still left in scoring position. :fp:

He's made it pretty clear that his top priority is $$$. With his combination of talent + baggage, I wouldn't want to guess what he's going to be worth.
I'd take him on my team.

Josh will be leaving. The rangers will make him an offer, but not the 5 year deal he would want. As a rangers fan, I wish him luck, but its time for him to move on.. He is incredibly talented, but he must have some serious mental problems. I was at the game Friday, and I am still depressed at the collapse. I did not boo him, but shared the frustration of those who did. He didn't even look like he was trying. First at bat he swung at the first pitch and grounded into a double play with runners at first and second with nobody out. Yes, that did score the only run. Then he struck out twice on 3 pitches each time, then got out on one pitch again. 4 at bats, 8 pitches. We will miss the home runs, and need to replace him, but its time for him to go. I don't blame the rangers collapse on him, though. It was certainly a team effort!

That's why I'm curious to see who will try to sign him. He really wants a lot of money and if the Rangers haven't been able to make a deal with him since the off season, he's not going to get what he wants from them now. He really is talented but he gets injured a lot and he's pretty high maintenance off the field. I don't think his first offer will come from the Rangers and I don't know if they'll try to match anybody else's. But there's no denying he's popular and a lot of fans will miss him.

Why the Rangers collapsed is everybody's question. Some people seem to be blaming Wash and I don't agree with that. It was a spectacular collapse though. :(

No idea where he'll end up. I think wash could've done better with the relief pitchers and the lineup, but I think the collapse was just a badly timed slump. Wash is pretty good. They have had mostly the same team, playing an extra month two years in a row. Also, losing 2 starting pitchers didn't help. Can't explain how they all forgot to hit, though.

Don't watch a lot of A's baseball, but can't they take the tarps off and sell more tickets. It's the playoffs for crying out loud. It's a hell of a long time ago but I'm sure in the 88-90 playoffs they had the upper deck open, even in the mid 00's.
