There are rumors that the Cubs might have to play their 2013 home games at the White Sox stadium due to renovations at Wrigley. If the owners can get funding for the upgrades they'll have them done during the season and play their home games across town. It's not a done deal but stadium employees have told some members of the media tha they were warned to expect more games there in 2013.

Crazy, man. Theo is bringing the Boston philosophy to Chicago right away.

I'm not even gonna watch that cuz I know what Mr. Full of Himself has to say. I liked Curt as a pitcher but now that you're retired, STFU and run for office if that's what you want :x

Wow. I didn't see that coming. Didn't think they would actually have the balls to overturn the MVPs drug test. Haha, what a joke.
  • Cliffy6745Cliffy6745 Posts: 33,710
    Unreal

Haudricourt says the appeal went Braun's way not because of the test result, but because of a technicality with the testing process. Independent arbitrator Shyam Das ruled in favor of the technicality, giving the reigning NL MVP the win by a 2-1 margin. Braun is the first player to have a suspension overtuned through the appeals process.

Am I the only one that thought/expected him to get off? Among other things, if it was on a technicality then shame on MLB for not following the guidelines so a challenge of the procedures would've been moot.

What a motherfucking crock of shit. The tester went home and refrigerated his sample instead of taking it straight to fedex since he thought it was closed. Wow. Everything about that boggles my mind

Exactly a disgraceful/embarrassing day for MLB. Thousands of companies across the country administer drug tests everyday, how the fuck can't MLB. With as much money as they have the shouldn't have to send a sample anywhere. The player pees in a cup in the locker room and it's tested right there on the spot, no need to ship sample anywhere. They have enough money to do this, so there is no excuse. Shame on MLB.

is Shyam Das the "official" MLB arbitrator? he seems to be the only guy to ever arbitrate anything :?

No, i'm right ther with you. "IF" the reporting was right(though it SHOULD'VE NEVER been reported to begin with) ther was questions. Report was he had a EXTREME HIGH level(most EVER?) with the firs test, and then was re-tested and was clean? Too many questions (Not a Brewer/Braun fan)

I don't think the arbitraters knew what player it was?
  • Why couldn't Manny get any of his suspensions overturned? That's not fair.

More proof of what a shitty Commissioner he is. You can never trust a used car salesman. The image I will always have of him is that nerdy look with his hands up not knowing what to do about the tied allstar game.
