try to get a fastball by him at your peril, he almost has a Bonds aura about hit at the plate right now, he's a beast

I don't know why everyone in NY is making such a big deal out of this George thing. JD Drew pulls himself out of the lineup once a week at the last minute to clear his head. It's been going on for years.

And count me in the list of Jose Bautista doubters at the beginning of the season. But he's picked up right where he left off and killing it on the turf in Toronto. It'll be fun watching him go head to head with Adrian in the power categories this summer.

INTERLEAGUE PLAY IS ALMOST UPON US....WHO'S EXCITED??????

I'm kind of surprised the Posada story got so big outside of New York. I think a lot of people like it when the Yankees are faltering/going through controversy. It's just the way it is. Still, I don't think this story warrants the attention it's getting. There was a brief argument, he sat, he apologized, let's move on.

everything is on the barrel ... what is crazy is that his average is ridiculously high this year and his OBP ... has anyone ever signed a big fat contract and exceeded expectations? ... plus, the guy is team first and not a dick as far as i can tell ...

Time for the Phillies' annual interleague-induced losing streak.

I will get to see the Texas Rangers in person twice this weekend, so that'll be cool.

I love it how Youk and Dustin get no love from The Fixer on the RH hitter debate. We're gonna have words June 18th kid.

You're probably right, but one of them has an MVP and the other has had an OPS of over .960 each of the last three seasons, so they can't be too far behind.

Looks like Jake Peavy is back, but it won't be too long before he's back on the DL. I refuse to believe he returns to elite status.

I love it how they found Kyle Kendrick's stolen World Series ring in a swamp.

The Minnesota Twins have scored the fewest runs in MLB (127) and allowed the 2nd most runs in MLB (218). They are 13 games under .500 and 12.5 games out in the division. I know the Twins are known for coming out of nowhere to make the playoffs every year, but they are just pathetic in 2011. It doesn't help either when your two best players are worthless thru almost 2 months.

Yeah, they are clearly the worst team in baseball right now.

Brian Fuentes bitching about his manager for putting him in a tie game on the road in extra innings and in the 8th inning, because he's a closer. BOO-FUCKING-HOO. Shut up and pitch when the damn manager tells you to. This closer bullshit drives me crazy.

glad Corey Hart finally broke through last night, 3 HR 7 RBI in one game :D

drafted him for my fantasy team, kept him while on the DL and waited out his post-DL slump

Hate to sound cynical, but I figure this is the beginning of his post-playing career HOF campaign. He's gonna have to kiss a lot of ass to get in (for the record I think he's a no brainer...should be a unanimous first ballot guy. Even though he's a d-bag).

Good to see this guy's kids being taken care of. As well as the recent arrest

you're probably right...and douchebag or not, he should go into the hof...he was a hall of famer before the steroids...and that goes for most of the steroid players

If I have to hear/read one more thing about how home plate collisions need to be outlawed I am going to puke. I can't stand the media's overreacions every time something happens in sports. It's sports, guys are gonna get hurt once in a while. Fucking get over it.

The agent just wants to make sure he gets a commission off a monster deal, which I'm sure is less of a possibility with an injury.

No need to change the rule. Just tell your $50M catcher not to block the friggin plate.
