Super tough start for the Astros, which I know makes a lot of people happy. Offense is struggling....the injuries are brutal. Glad that Brantley, McCormick & Altuve will be back soon & fingers crossed on McCullers. Losing Urquidy & Garcia stings a lot. It's safe to say that they'll be looking for SP help at the deadline. I know it's a long season, but damn.

The Yankees who are in last in the AL east would be in first place in the AL central. I believe 1/2 game ahead of Minnesota.

jeebus…..just looked at the A’s stats…8-31, 16 games out (in may!), minus 146 run differential.
It is a disgrace, but it is doing what the owner wanted to do which was mess up the organization so bad that moving it to a new market will be declared as the only way they can compete. A competent owner could be successful in Oakland. This guy has brought the team so low that many of the fans just don’t care anymore or refuse to support the team because of the owner and his dealings.
  • FYI - free MLB TV this weekend. All games except games on other networks and blackout games.  If you have Prime, it should be included (just like their game of the day).

They should definitely move to Vegas soon. Right now they are getting no-hitter thru 5 and I’d be shocked if there were 5,000 people in attendance.

I liked the article after the Arozarena and women of sports put downs.  The other stuff was fine and warranted.  People give Megan Rapinoe a lot of shit because she dropped the flag one day and walked on it.

Yeah that dude has always sucked. Him and the Post have always been a perfect match, growing as garbage together.

Arozarena is without question one of the league's best marketers of the game. Just a shame he plays baseball and does so in Tampa. Love that dude.

I do need to say I love bat flips, Alex Bergman’s brashness, Wander Francos ball flip and what Arozarena did.

I’ve said this before too, if you don’t mind getting beaned then light up the stage whenever you can.

Fantasy guessed Trea Turner lighting up the league for 70 SB this year w all the new rule changes.

He killed it in the WBC and has been quiet so far.

11 game hit streak and swiped 1 bag only?  Cmon man…

Jarod is hitting like crap.  Bichette is a hit machine like Arraez and McNeil.

Look at the teams doing good so far.  Orioles and Pittsburgh?  The Rays have been constantly good so no surprise with them.  That whole team is playing well.

Oakland had their lowest attendance at home since the 70's on Monday with something like 2,000 "fans" in attendance

Sounds like it. The details aren't clear, but there's a mention they discovered other concerning information after doing interviews with people and that's why NBC decided to part ways. Wasn't the team's decision.

I'm pretty sure this wasn't the first time he's used the word.

    Glad they let him go.

Well the all time record is held by the Cleveland Spiders in 1899 with 134 losses.
modern record is held by the New York Mets with 120 losses which is more doable.

I think Oakland definitely passes the Mets. In 2003 the Tigers needed a five-game winning streak in the final week to avoid to record and the A's don't appear to be capable of that.

With he new rules and bigger bags it was believed that Trea Turner would light up the base paths and snag 70 or so SB's.

He has 7 for the year...
