the Dark Knight was one of the top Batman movies. the biggest issue is with it was Batman. batman sounded so goofy when he was in the batman outfit.
it's always fun to watch movies that are filmed in the area.
That was my other complaint with the movie. It was obvious that it was Chicago. The city did not have a "feel" to it. I guess i just liked Burtons creepy Gotham MUCH better. I read that there were even parts of the flick where you could see signs that read "Chicago"... nice planning there location director!
sorry to bring up these points in this thread. I am just hoping that they bring something new to this upcoming release..
owww loved the first two new films...alot to live up too now.
I think there is a part of Nolan that would like to use the joker in this new film.... But it would be a HUGE distraction with the recast and would take away from what we all expect.... A great film. I think he has been thinking about the 3rd film for a while and isn't rushing things. To make a film like Inception as his follow up project to TDK is promising as hell. The great thing is that he is a young director( I think under 40) and has many years ahead if him and all of Hollywood willing to throw $ at future projects. They begin shooting the next film In April and I can't wait to hear who will be cast and obviously the villians.
Btw I was able to get that 2nd amongst the waves single for a friend
and very good looks on the itw vinyl reissue..... Made my day

Yeah there are a couple times in the film where you can see Chase Bank signs, stuff like that. I thought it really felt like Gotham in BB too. Dont know why they ignored it in TDK
{if (work != 0) {
work = work + 1;
sleep = sleep - work * 10;}
else if (work >= 0) {

work = work +1;
}system("pause");

I really thought movie wise BB was far more compelling than the Dark Knight...outside of the "why so serious scene". I definitely liked Burton's Batman the best...it was dark, and, while it's easy to see Jack was playing Jack that overlooks the reality that he was both funny AND crazy not just crazy like Heath's over the top Joker. Last I checked the Joker made jokes outside of slamming faces on pencils. I could be wrong.

I liked the fact he made him more Dark instead of him having stupid hokey jokes and laughing all the time
The part was played perfectly between being funny and dark at the same time

A special edition with a redubbed voice could easily fix that, but I think I'm the only one who it didn't even phase. Didn't bother me one bit. It only seemed goofy after people mentioned it.

second.
do you think the nolan could still cast heath as the joker..they did it years ago with the crow..just get another person to play the part and the cg heaths head on(avatar style).i just dont see anyone else filling his shoes..also i agree he planned to have the joker in the next movie.
i loved the Dark Knight, but what it lacked was Joker/Batman scenes.
in a 2 hour movie, i think they were only on screen together for a something like 7 minutes.
What do you want, though, them have have dinner together?
Joker was never a physical threat to Batman. It was everything he masterminded and pulled off from a distance that made him dangerous. I think the interaction was as it should be.
got to say i didnt even notice the lack of on screen time(if it was a lack)...i thought nolan did a stunning job...with the correct amount of humour and darkness into a villian that has been played a few times onscreen and make him seem new and dangerous.

I read somewhere that there is a possibility Nolan might use screen tests of Ledger's voice from TDK for a brief scene at Arkum Asylum where he would be in a cell (probably silhouetted) and have a brief conversation with Batman. Probably just a rumor, but I doubt they would try anything beyond that that could possibly sully his performance. from TDK.
I would love to see another Wonder Woman movie to be honest. Give me Angelina and an invisible jet. Or how about a Green Lantern flick for a change? Get Ice Cube back in his acting chops and give him the Green Lantern role. Aquaman? Anyone? Can you see a slimmed down version of a Seth Rogan as Aquaman?
Rumor is that Joseph Gordon Leavitt might be cast as The Riddler in the third film. I'd be down for it. Great actor and Nolan just worked with him on Inception.

we should rename this thread "The Dark Knight Rises out on July 20th 2012"
catwoman - anne hathaway...i'm happy with this choice. apparently she beat out jessica biel though....jessica biel in the cat suit would have been insane though. oh well...
baine- tom hardy...quality actor. no idea how nolan will adapt him to his real life batman world though..

Batman is just more compelling to people because he is human. Superman's only weakness was Kryptonite.
