2010 NBA Playoffs

So, I'm a Boston fan in Utah...I am a fan of the Jazz as well. A disappointing night against Chicago tonight for the Celtics. Tomorrow is the end of the regular season and they've dropped to the 4th seed, and Atlanta advances to the 3rd.

The Western conference is very undetermined at the moment...should make for a great year of playoffs.

Anybody else interested in the playoffs and care to talk NBA basketball?

Lakers in 5, despite all their recent woes. OKC is a bunch of greenhorns, they won't react well in the playoffs this year. Just a guess. Still, Durant is a beast.

I'll hold off on my full predictions until all the seeds are finalized, but I think we're in for a few upsets.

Bulls are not in yet, although they did need that win against the Celtics last night. If they do make it they most likely get destroyed by Cleveland. If they don't make it they get a higher draft pick.

I'd love to watch the Bulls lose in the first round, but the pick is probably a better idea.

Haha, I suppose that's good logic, but I'd still like to see my team make the playoffs.

I'll probably end up rooting for the underdogs since my Knicks sucked again this year.

Considering that as of the past couple weeks the Lakers haven't been playing like a champion team. Albeit, they won the West...OKC could put up a good fight.

I'm very excited to see some upsets this year. If LeBron gets eliminated before the Finals again I hope he'll actually congratulate the victor this time...

Lakers fan here. I'm gonna say Lakers-Cavs in the finals. I know, big surprise. But the Cavs look like the favorites. They're playing like the Lakers did last year, with something to prove. That plus talent is very dangerous. I don't think they'll be beaten. Unfortunately my Lakers seem to be saving their worst for last. The past four months their winning percentage has dwindled. Its just .500 in April. maybe they'll "turn it on" for the playoffs, but I doubt it. They just look like they are not interested. Cavs over Lakers in 5.

There should be some exciting series though. As of right now, the Suns would take on the Nuggets in the first round. That would be sweet! And the Mavs vs the Spurs. Sweet! I love the playoffs! I'm excited for a potential Cavs/Celts round two matchup too. But the Celts seem to be cruising at an even slower speed than the Lakers.

Whoever wins I just hope its not the Cavs. Or Celtics, but I probably don't have to worry about that, they have Rasheed.

Agreed. I see the Lakers and Cavs in the finals. As much as I love my Celtics...I do see an end to their playoff road. They've just been really falling apart the latter half of this season. Frankly, they've been plagued with injuries. Not to mention most of their stars are aging veterans.

On the West though, I've always been a Utah and Phoenix fan...hope that one of my West teams can pull through for a great run. How glorious it would be for me to see Utah make it to the finals again (and possibly win?...seems like a dream that will only ever be that).

Boston is washed up. They blew their load a few years back and will be like the Pistons of a couple of years ago. win a title, hang around the top of the confrence, then completly puke on themselves.

Amen...well not on the fuck the NBA part...I still love watching the NBA, even as "glamorous" as it has become. But, Steve Nash....yes....definitely one of the most exciting players in the league. His backup, Dragic is a firecracker as well. I see him developing into a premier PG in years to come.

you do realize they flip flopped 1st round draft picks with Milwaukee as part of the Salmons deal.

Yeah, but it would still be better than if they make the playoffs. Don't get me wrong though, I want to see them in the playoffs. Experience is always good. I'd like to see if they can step it up for the playoffs. There is a lot of talent on this team, that doesn't seem to be used. Last years playoffs were great, if they can have a run half as great as that, I would be happy.

i disagree. I think Vinny has come a long long way in a short amount of time. I was on the fire him bandwagon earlier this season. I think if they were healthy and hadn't made those salary trades, they would be up in the 5th or 6th spot and possibly as high as 4th. The loss of Gordon and trades of Salmons & Thomas plus the injuries to Rose, Deng, Kirk and Noah hurt as well.

I think Vinny has a brigth coaching future.

As a Celtics fan, I can't disagree with all that, but I just want to say a big, IT WAS WORTH IT! 2008 Baby!

And if the stars align just right, they might be able to catch some playoff magic and win another one, this year or next.

Do I think it will happen. Hell no. But we have a shot. Has been a ton a fun with the new "old" big three.

You really think the Bulls can sweep Cleveland? That would be great. Better than a boxing match in the locker room with Vinny and Paxson.

Thank you Phoenix for taking care of Utah last night thus letting the Nuggs back into the 4 seed and 1st round home court advantage. Now it's up to you Nuggies, show me whatcha got!!!
