if you bid $91 just for thursday and choose only mid town east, 3.5 star you will get this...

    http://www.theroosevelthotel.com/

at least i just did. Only try for thursday or you will lose.

I think there was another thread re: priceline...yes you could priceline if you don't care where you stay or what kind of hotel you get...some people like to know exactly what they're getting.

But I said, you get the Roosevelt for that price. Sorry, didn't mean to step on you thread.

    WINGATE by WYNDHAM
    *****2 blocks from MSG*****

I have a group rate at the Wingate by Windham or $209+tax per night for either two double beds or one king, and is good for 1-4 people. This rate includes breakfast but it does not include a mandatory $6 per person bag fee, which will be paid directly to the hotel (I'm trying to get this waived!) Additional nights will be the same rate as long as rooms are available at time of booking. We have to book by April 20, or any rooms that we have blocked off will be released...if you are interested but can't book until later, please let me know!

A credit card wil be required to reserve the room, but will not be charged until you check out or if you do not show up without cancelling. Also, when you check in, the front desk will hold $50 per night on your card for incidentals...if you don't charge anything to your room, nothing will be charged.

The total for two nights incl tax is approx $484.64

    Booking:
Rooms can be reserved in three ways, but it's recommended to either call your reservation in or call me, and use the online booking as a last resort...the Windgate is splitting from Wyndham and their systems are in limbo.
    1. I can book your room if you provide me with your CC# and exp date and type of room.***
    2. You can call 1-800-228-1000 with the group code JANE
    3. You can book online http://www.wingatehotelnyc.com/ with the group code JANE
If you book by phone or online, please try and PM or email me to let me know, so I can keep track of how many rooms we have! If you book online, the rate might not show up--please let me know so I can have it adjusted! This is because of the Wyndham/Wingate split.

    Cancellation Policy:
Booking must be cancelled at least 48 hours prior, so by May 18. After May 18, you will be charged for one night.

***My contact info for anyone interested in booking. I am a Travel Consultant at Liberty Travel and am legitimate! You're welcome to call my office to verify!!***

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this:

Guests can park their car at Meyers which is one block from the hotel. They will receive a card from the valet and can pay at the front desk. It is $35.00 + tax for every 26 hours. SUV’s, Trucks and Vans are more.

Oh, and 16 rooms now :-)

I have reservations for two nights at the Broadway Plaza Hotel for $189+tax. This hotel is a little further from MSG. Does anyone know how the Wyndham compares? I haven't stayed at either hotel, but I might consider switching if it's an "upgrade".

I think it depends on what you are looking for. The Wyndham is closer to MSG, has a hot breakfast (instead of a continental at BPH), and free wi-fi. It's rated on tripdadvisor.com as #91 of 413 rated whereas BPH is #126. Lots of fans staying at the Wyndham too which makes it more enjoyable since you get to meet new friends from all over the world. Both look pretty good but you should drink the Koolaid and get in on the Wyndham if you're cool and like to party
  • Janet,
We booked 2 rooms for Thursday night, and 1 room for Friday night. So you can update your counts. Can't wait!

Janet, Sorry I haven't called yet but the ladies I am sharing with haven't gotten back to me yet. Can I make the reservation with you w/o any cancellation penalties at that rate? You just need a cc to hold it, right? Sorry for all the questions!! Thanks. :)

Absolutely....the credit card will guarantee your reservation. If you do need to cancel or make any changes, you would have up until 48 hours before arrival to make them!!

There are apparently only 5 guest rooms per floor so we are going to have at least 4 floors shaking at this point! Lots of info and reviews on tripadvisor.com:

    Hi again Janet,

When I go on the website and put in the code, it still ends up telling me

2 Double Beds Room Advanced Purchase Rate
    2 Double Beds/Non Smoking/Spacious/ Hot Breakfast/Free Wifi/Hbo/Microfridge /Work Desk/Usa Today/Business Center
    Occupancy: 4 people max
    Per Room/Night
    2 Double Beds Room Non-smoking
    Thu. 05/20/10 USD 254.15
    Fri. 05/21/10 USD 254.15

    2 nights (1 Room): USD 508.30
    Taxes: USD 81.97
    * Total: USD 590.27

Is it impossible to get this price online even with the code you gave us?

And if I call, will the tax amount still be nearly $100? Wow!

I would like to know since there are several of us considering splitting the cost, and I have to check with the girls before doing anything concrete.
    Thanks!

    I'm sorry for the inconvenience!!

It seems like they're still having issues...The code is supposed to work, but because of the Wingate/Wyndham split, it's clearly not working.

If you want to call me at work I can take care of it for you...keep in mind that you can cancel or make changes up until 48 hrs before arrival. 610-375-8125
