Wow, questionable goal to put NZ ahead against mighty Italia.

wow, good on them, could be off side but its hard to tell. Good on them, what a shocker this would be if NZ wins.

why do i have to listen to braveheart on ESPN?
cause epsn/abc wants to give the world cup more of a true football feel for americans

    Mute button works wonders
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
    Sammi: Wanna just break up?

Why do they call it a "cap" when you play a game for your country?

Why do they call it a "cap" when you play a game for your country?
Because the player is given a cap. In England it will have the country's badge and details of the game stitched onto it

That's pretty awesome. Didn't know that. Do the old players wear their caps out? Do they ever get pawned off and available to the public? I am now fascinated with this tradition.

I don't think people wear them. The English ones are blue velvet with a gold tassle. The players do sometimes donate them to charity auctions and some of the older players who played before there was big money on the game sold some.

Google image search England football caps. They're given out for other International team sports here too

They're not always given a physical cap anymore

Congrats NZ + 1. Awesome result!

If I wasn't English I'd like to be French. Just love their attitude.

The Italy game ruined the whole day for me. I do have to give huge credit to NZ goalkeeper.
