Always loved how americans wear their ignorance like a badge of honour. If it were an olympic sport....u might have more golds than us
I think he was probably making a joke
And about the fans - throughout the game the majority of the fans have been quite sportish - in almost all events I watched, all atheletes were cheered by all.
I agree Canada fans has showed bad taste threw out the games. Nothing would be sweeter then beating them today for the gold. It's going to be a really good game, I'm excited.
Lol -- what games were you watching? What a dumb comment.
First let me say that a VAST majority of the Canadians I know, including those on this board, don't fit the following ...
Some Canadians have shown a really poor side of themselves during this olympics. I was watching the men's curling final yesterday (yeah, I said that) and in the beginning fo the match, during the final throws of the 2nd end, a pretty crucial time .... someone in the stands blasted an airhorn during the Norwegians shot ... not once, but twice.
Now, many of the folks in the stands were booing that person, and hopefully they pointed them out and they got escorted out ... but damn, between that, cheering so loud to drown out the communication of the Danish women's team (to the point they made the girl freakin' cry) ... and booing the Americans during their last 2 hockey games ... it's been a pretty poor showing for some Canadians.
True, it has been a poor showing for some, but let's not forget the women's hockey medal ceremony. With a lot of the American girls still crying for coming in 2nd, the crowd saluted them on the podium with a big U.S.A. chant so they have had some good moments too these Olympics. I just don't see American fans having done the same thing for Canada is the situations were reversed.
But yeah the air horn thing was horrible during last night's curling match.
Hoping for a good game as well today -- I don't want a blowout and I don't want another game where Canada completely dominates and loses.[/quote]
It's all in good fun but it seems some of you Canada fans are really taking this too serious.
I know it's hockey and yea we all know it's your sport. Seems some of you are really stressing over this game. Freaking relax but once again you can't cause it's hockey. Just chill and enjoy the game.
LOL....I'm just talkin shit too...soon asa it starts gettin dished back, we're too sensitive. ...love it
I'm surprised the words "per capita" don't come up more when discussing medal totals

Hehe -- can't relax today until at least 10 beers are down. Telling a Canadian to relax for a big hockey game is about as useless as telling an American that they shouldn't be allowed to carry 50 cal machine guns around downtown New York.

Hehe -- half of those players are kids of former NHLers born in Canada. That final WJHC game was awesome to watch though -- would take a silver if this game today is half as entertaining as that one was.

CTV's morning show today said a lady sold 3 tickets for $18000 for the gold medal game. She wants to sit on beach somewhere.

There's a 20 minute OT for the gold medal game. Then if there is no winner it goes to the shootout.

medal games should go until someone scores, imo
The sudden death is 4 on 4 so it raises the odds someone will score in 20 minutes, but yeah I agree.
