ANAHEIM, Calif. -- It'd been a long time since Jerome Williams started a game in the major leagues, even longer since he'd won one.

Williams pitched seven stellar innings to get his first big league victory in almost six years, Peter Bourjos homered for the third straight game and Howard Kendrick also connected, leading the Los Angeles Angels over the Baltimore Orioles 7-1 Sunday for a three-game sweep.

some of you may remember jerome from the 2003-5 Giants :wtf:

we got 4 wins on the road trip and sent 5 guys to the DL :wtf: . Wilson is the latest  . still, the d-bags are faltering and we might at least get a division crown out of this year.

and the do**gers are back to last place

they're gonna win the division....and go out quickly in the playoffs.

an NL West team winning even one playoff series would be a HUGE upset.

Watching Orlando Cabrera come up with huge hits late in games gives this Red Sox fan some fond memories of 2004 when he was so clutch down the stretch.

I think you can stick a fork in 'em.

this schedule of ours should have been christmas in august, but what do we do? lose series after series. MAYBE if bochy would just give up on some veterans, they could turn this around.it will be interesting to see what happens when rosters expand. bochy's size 8.5 head may just explode.

what a pathetic excuse for a professional baseball team. I'm beyond pissed.

yeah, we're depleted but we just split a series with the worst team in baseball. it's a AAA team, but at least they have heart.

note: our pitchers are exempt from my ire.

Hey, not everyone can get back to the World Series the next year after winning it. It's hard you know. ;) (only one team in the past 10 years even made it to 2 straight WS)

Late in 2010 the Phillies were swept at home by the Astros in a 4 game series. It was ugly. Not as ugly as the NLCS of course.

This 8th inning has pretty much been the nail in the 2011 Giants' coffin.

The air, completely sucked out of the park, people know it ... any dream of a repeat can now be put to rest.

I never really had dreams of a repeat...just wanted to win the fucking division

as a lifelong giants fan, I'm used to heartache but for some reason this year seems worse than most of our other heartache seasons. things were looking good at the AS break...

The entire team is on the DL or has been on the DL except for Linc and Cain. I will be looking forward to a healthy team in 2012 with Posey! :)

It has been a rough season to say the least. I can only hope the D Bags choke over the last few weeks just so we can repeat as division winners.

I'm kinda feeling like the Brew Crew is going to win it all, on a fluke of course!

unbelievable that the giants extended the posey game to extra innings by scoring 4 runs in the ninth. when else did they ever score 4 in the ninth??? if they just lay down and lose (as usual), buster never gets hurt.

that's why last year's good luck was so unbelievable to us. this year has been more what we're used to.

I feel like Buster's injury sort of knocked the wind out of everybody. And yeah, another WS win (did they really win last year?) was awesome beyond belief. A division win would be okay.

And I forgot, who are the D***ers? Are they a major league team?
