Completely agree. Lot of folks digging their foot out of their mouths now.

Congrats Giants fans! Great run. Amazing. The SF Giants just won the world series.

congratulations to the giants, what is amazing is the amount of losing done in previous places by some of the players, Huff in Baltimore, Tampa Bay, Sanchez in Pittsburgh, Torres starting his career in places like the 2002 and 2003 Tigers.

Congrats Giants Fans - especially those long time sufferers. Enjoy every second of it. As a Phillies fan I still recall and enjoy every moment of 2008. it is an awesome feeling and experience. You guys played just great baseball and kicked serious butt, you earned it. Enjoy.

I echo what pjhawks says. As a Phillies fan, I congratulate the Giants and their fans. Enjoy it. The feeling actually lasts a good long time, you carry it over to next year.
Really, really hard to work up any kind hate toward this team. They represent what can be done when you mix together a team of misfits and castoffs and spare parts with great pitching and a lot of heart. They represent what you would want your team to look like.
The Giants fans I've met around SF and at the game the other day were very gracious. A few even told me that the Texas Rangers had the best fans out of all of the team they had visited. They mentioned how nice we were to them, etc. I thought that was very cool.
So, enjoy the end of your 56 years or whatever it was. It was a fun ride for us too!
Congrats on your first title! You guys were the best team when it counted and your city really deserves the title.
Sorry about the bitter comments from last week. No hard feelings.

With the San Diego Padres at the top of the division most of the year, the SF Giants couldn’t buy a win against them to save their lives. Until… it mattered most.
I’ll never forget back in early September suggesting to a diehard Giants fan how nice a Wild Card win would be this year. He looked at me, got all serious, and stated the Giants were after the division not some stinking Wild Card.
Well, they finally beat the San Diego Padres on the last day of the regular season to win their Division. Then they took down Bobby Cox, Jason Heyward, Chad Lowe and the Atlanta Braves. Up next was the superior Philadelphia Phillies staring Roy Halladay and power hitters galore. Grab some pine boys. Last to challenge this motley crew of cast offs, rookies and homegrown pitching talent would be the Texas Rangers, Cliff Lee, antlers, claws and thankfully ex-presidents. You can’t hit that… can you? Yes they can, when it counts the most once again. And the rest is history, put it on the board!
The lil’ trolley car that couldn’t…did!
Congratulations to the San Francisco Giants and all their fans. What a memorable season.

The trooper sauntered up to the car and explained to me that he had pulled me over for speeding and for wearing that Giants hat!
Funny guy. Asked me if I had just jumped on the bandwagon and then asked me a trivia question from 87. I had no fekkin clue!
He let me off with a warning. He's a Cubs fan.
True story.
