the rangers have a thread????

flagg, I know you're long suffering just like us giants fans. I read your post of all the misadventures thru the years. believe me, the SF Giants have been thru just as much.

I gotta admire how the giants weathered those first two inning....balls off timmy's leg, inexplicable brain freeze in the rundown play, etc. they did the same thing vs. halladay.

kinsler overrunning 1st was HUGE. a win's a win, but that one was kind of ugly, in that we couldn't just cruise thru the last 3 innings after we got up 6. at least our bullpen got some work.

my heart (and liver) can't take much more. let's end this thing in 4!

You guys still scored 11 runs. Let Pat save his, probably, one contribution for when you really need it. That's what he did in 2008.

I think your team reminds of the 2008 Phils - kind of catching lightning in a bottle right now. I never thought the 2008 Phils were a spectacular team; they were just in the right place at the right time.

That said, tonight is big for you. You've got Sanchez, the immature loony, going in Game 3, so a 2-0 lead is crucial.

tonight IS big, but I would disagree with your "immature loony" characterization.....he just couldn't find the strike zone that night. Jonny came up big on the final day of the season and has pitched pretty well (other than his 2+) in the postseason. he's actually a lot more mature than he used to be :lol:

The Texas bullpen is a complete mess right now. At worst I don't see how we don't take at least one in Texas. Our offense is grinding out AB's like I haven't seen them do all season. Every hitter is getting deep in the count and Renteria looks like he's 25 again. Cain is becoming one of the greatest post season pitchers ever. No earned runs allowed this entire playoff run. The bullpen is money with Lopez shutting down lefties and the defense is playing great, especially Uribe & Renteria on the left side.

Interesting stuff with Jose Guillen. Funny to see they were told to leave him off the roster, I find that a bit crazy.

this organization has crushed my dream time and time again

but I'm seeing things that make me think this might be the year....like when kinsler's ball bounces backwards off the wall :wtf:

that 8th inning walkathon was nuts. it took the rangers something like 55 pitches to get the final out. unbelievable!

Awesome game. Typical Giants baseball. Jack a few over the fence and let the pitching dominate. Madison Bumgarner isn't bad, huh? My only complaint is that i'm 9 months older than him and he's making me look like a jackass. Freddy Sanchez is a wizard at second base. Stoked about tonight and the distant future for this team. Can you say 90's Braves? (With a few more WS Titles thrown in hopefully.) ONE MORE!

It'll be fun to watch Eric Karros trip over himself tomorrow trying to explain how Texas will come back and win this thing. (I get it dude, you played for the Dodgers, but you sound like a jackass.) Same for the whole Baseball Tonight crew on ESPN. (What's up, Bobby Valentine?)

F.P. Santangelo said it best on CSN Bay Area the other night: "If the Giants win they should get the rings fitted for their middle finger for the East Coast media." GO GIANTS!
