    That throw by Yaz that nailed Schwarber last night was one of the better throws home by an OF I've seen in recent years. Right on target, perfect spot to snag him just before the shoe got in.  Impressive.  I know a lot of Cubs fans are saying he was safe, but it looked to me like the right call. Got him just before the shoe hit the plate. I like this guy so far.  Was a fan of Carl as a kid (still have my 1990 Donruss Diamond Kings puzzle of him.)

    seriously, this has been an OK year....started out looking like a 100 loss team...yaz jr. jr. and dickerson have been pleasant surprises but I wonder if they might both be fool’s gold....yaz is 28 and dickerson has been released by three teams. even samardzija has been good.

    I think we see Ramos before Bart. The service time rules for rookies this season are hard to figure out but from what I can gather the Giants would just need to hold anyone out for the first month to not have this season count for their arbitration/Free Agency. I would hope the Giants are playing Bart and Ramos daily after that point since they both should be on the active roster next season. It wouldn't hurt to let them get a couple hundred at bats against major league pitching. Since there is no minor league season might as well let them play and keep developing.
