    HOLY SHIT!!!!!

Buster Posey….batting champ, MVP, ROY, comeback player of the year, 3x WS champ….is retiring.

walking away from $22M….the man has his priorities.

    HOF?
Many are saying he will be. I don't think he has the numbers. Thurman is not in and they have similar numbers and Thurman only played 10 years. Jorge Posada has better numbers but is more of a compiler.  The 3 world series helps
Were Thurman or Jorge ROY’s or MVP’s? Were they lifetime .300 hitters? not being a smartass; I haven’t checked.
If I had known then what I know now...

Munson was ROY in 1970 and AL MVP in 1976. He hit .292 for his career. Career .357 hitter in post season. 2 titles. Career cut short by untimely death.
He's essentially a perfect comp for Posey in terms of the HOF statistically.
So Posey should be a no.
    This weekend we rock Portland

^^^^ the meme lover posted that three days before they were actually eliminated. oh well, it was probably making the rounds in his facebook group.

Congrats, Giants! First MLB team since 1925 to be 8 games below .500 with 16 to play and finish at .500. just the third team to EVER do it.

word on the street is that the giants “will not be outbid” for judge. not sure how I feel about that, given aaron’s age and lack of postseason production. aaron judge, alone, is not going to fix the giants. plus, we’ve already had the best player of our generation

that said, if you can keep him from the LA cocksuckers…
