    hmmmm....
    try to remember

    all in NYC:
matt dillon in the guggenheim museum
gina gershon at a velvet revolver show
some actor, can't remember his name....played a minor role on one of those tv cop shows at an outdoor restaurant.
oh, reminds me of another actor, can't remember his name or show  ....came into smith & hawken when i worked there. also helped some famous hockey player there too - didn't know him at all as i am not a sports fan. he was really good looking tho :D and one of my coworkers told me who he was. he bought like $300 worth of lucky bamboo.
patricia arquette in period costume outside of the NY public library
rachel mcadams being filmed for a movie i presume in bryant park.

    think that's it.

oh, holy crap...how could i forget?! my first celebrity encounter:
robert plant walked right into me outside the four season hotel(i think they have a four seasons? if not, some other 5 star place) the night before live aid. i was maybe 14.

I love HIM!!! He is awesome.

I once passed Strombo on the street back home too...ahhh I <3 George.

I saw Uma Thurman and Bob Dylan in our local mall. That in itself is not so unusual given where I live, but what was unusual was that it was within 5 minutes of each other. That was weird.

You cant drop that kind of bomb and not tell! :)

I met Thurmon Munson (catcher, yankees) shortly before he died in a plane crash. I was a kid and walking in the everglades in florida with my dad. He was nice enough to shake my hand and say hello.

Also saw Paul O'neil (yankee too!) in the Boca Raton Mall a few days befor x-mas. Ironically, He was one of my favorite players, so I kinda approached him, but didnt want to bother him. I just waved and intended on walking past (as to not make a scene), but he must've seen that I was excited so he said hello and took a step towards me and put out his hand to shake. Really nice guy. More ironically, I was telling him what a big yankee fan I was, but i happened to throw on an Indians hat that day. I dont even know why I have an indians hat.

Also saw Flavor Flav in Vegas! seems he likes it there. In the same trip to vegas I saw Gabrielle Reece walking down the street with a few big dudes. I didnt know who Laird Hamilton was at the time, but i'll bet it was him too.

Pete Rose was dick to me once. He actually yelled at me, thinking I was someone else. I worked in his awful restaurant for a few months.
Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)
  • Well I have also met Mike and Stone but that wasn't so random :D but without a doubt the most exciting.

I didn't think he was over 5 feet, although according to IMDB he's 5'6". He must have worn heels for that measurement.

I have been a hotel manager for 10 years now and I have had the opportunity to meet a lot of celebreties. In 2007 I was working at a 5 diamond hotel, and my job title was Director of VIP Services. Basically my job was to be the go-to guy for our VIP's and celebreties.

I am not going to bore you with name dropping etc etc...but my absolute favorite story of all time (and one that I tell to my staff) is my encounter with Flava Flav.

Mr. Flav was staying in my hotel and claimed he requested a 2pm wake up call which he never got, and he slept past 2pm and missed an event (was at Canadian Music Week).

He came down to the lobby with his posse (about 10-15 huge dudes, and some nice looking ladies).

In the middle of the lobby he was going crazy and his Posse was starting to yell at me as well.

At one point (I swear this is true - you can't make this shit up) Flava Flav said to me "Do you know what time it is"? - I found this reaaly funny - because I think "Do you know what time it is" was a name of one of his songs.

I responded by saying "yes, Mr. Flav, going by the time on the GIGANTIC CLOCK around your neck, it is 3:15. Maybe you should have set your alarm on that clock, and we wouldn't be in this mess"

Most his entourage started killing themselves laughing, and one guy even said "Flav - you just got owned by that white boy". Then they all left.

Swear to God - True story

    that's good.

    That is absolutely hysterical. :D

I met Mike Huckabee at this party/gathering thing. I had a pretty nice conversation with him. He was making everyone there this drink he liked to have, which was I think about 2/3 chocolate soymilk and 1/3 root beer. It was pretty good actually.
I don't know if that counts or not...

  • Well it was anything but random (had VIP passes), but I met both Matt and Boom at the Toronto '05 show. I actually got to talk to Matt for quite a while, which was awesome. And Boom CAN talk, I confirmed it personally. :D
Also met Liam Finn at Massey Hall before one of the Ed solo shows. He was a really nice guy.
I've also met quite a few big names in equestrian sports, but my family goes way back in the horse business. Not so thrilling when they're family friends. Plus, I wouldn't really call them celebrities, haha.
