    you think i'm kidding....

honestly i don't have to do much beyond starting the season, collectiong fee's and paying out fee's....

but i think it's important and they should be done with honor especially when money is involved, even if it is a token amount. they have trusted me with holding the money and paying it out and if you ask the football peeps, there were zero issues last year.

if you find that funny, so be it.

i'm in a number of cash football leagues, and you won't find my name on the do not pay list. :nono:

so paying owners....what are you thoughts on this....

and i hate to do it, but i think a payment deadline is needed, as it's not fair to the paying owners. i was thinking a all star game deadline. if you don't pay up by then, those teams are locked and their players benched until they decide to pay. basically it ensures the non payers miss the playoffs and the ability to win the pool. however, it could impact standings depending on how many times a payer plays a non palyer.

everyone knew there was a fee going on in. :fp:

last year's football league was 100% paid up before the draft. this years football league already has two payments made.

i've got better things to do than hound people over 20 bucks when they knew what they were getting into....

so what are the paying owners thoughts on the topic?

Yeah i saw give them until the all star game and if still not yet paid lock 'em.

I'd also be interested in a football one if it isn't full

i don't think it's really fair to lock the teams who haven't paid yet because of the reason 81 mentioned wherein some teams might face the locked teams more often than others, and therefore receive a greater number of "forfeit" wins.

i think it would be most fair to lock them at the end of the season, just before the playoffs... this also gives the non-payers more of an opportunity to wise up and realize that integrity is something that should exist in all facets of life, including the internet.

What is the maximum roster size? I keep dropping players to activate people and even though I'm not picking anyone new up it keeps telling me I'm over the roster limit??? :?

Its possible that you have someone on the DL that is now active.....you have to activate that person 1st to your active roster before you can make another transaction

you cut somebody that was on your DL

i assume you are trying to add David to your active roster from the DL?

you need to cut a NON DL player to do that. :fp:

If someone knows the maximum roster size that might help. I cant find it on the site or in the league rules.

Now go to Wednesday (transactions take a day) and put Robertson in the empty "P" spot you have because you dropped Floyd...accept and you are good to go

Just keep in mind for the future that you CAN'T make transactions if someone on your DL is now active (they will still appear in your DL but won't have a red DL beside their name)....you have to drop someone that is active, activate that healthy player from your DL, and then you can make further transactions

any other questions, hit up 81

i believe active roster size is 25

it really isn't that hard to move someone from the DL to active.:lol::lol::lol:

if you can't figure it out....i'll do it for you, but i get to pick who gets dropped. :P

    25 man active roster

Roster Positions: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, Util, SP, SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN.

    and 5 DL Slots

    you have 25 active today...and 3DL

after dropping Gavin, you will have 24 active and 3DL tomorrow, allowing you to move your pitcher off the DL and to the active.

not sure why i ended up setting transactions to take place tomorrow (i believe that is the default)...i'd change it if i could, but it won't let you change it mid season

No it's not that it's hard but the whole Wednesday thing really screws things up. I blame the teachers.
