Can I have one more player go on the DL please. :? :fp:
Join the club.
I have Rivera, David Robertson, Bonafacio, Brett Gardner and Vance Worley. Lost Fister to a month. Yet I'm doing well in it, helps when I picked up Bryce Harper off waivers.

Damn I just lost Weaver to the DL but so far I've done all right despite the following:
I'm tied for ninth in runs scored
I'm 11th in home runs
I'm last in RBI
I'm seventh in steals
I'm fourth in batting average
I'm first in errors, having made the fewest
I'm fourth in strikeouts
I'm tied for fifth in wins
I'm ninth in saves.
Lead the league in ERA
Second in WHIP

I won't bore you with the details but this is my current team and reasons for why they're on the team:
Joe Mauer - needed a catcher in the draft that would hit somewhat decently, I'll take .287
Michael Young - picked because he can be eligible at first and third base, hitting .338
Marco Scutaro - waiver pick up after previous options underperformed, also can play at short.
Jose Bautista - picked for being eligible at third base and in the out field, also picked for on-base percentage
Derek Jeter - picked because a shortstop was needed, figured he'd be decent, just not this good so far.
Kyle Seager - waiver pick up, plays first and third
Hunter Pence - drafted because I wanted a steady type for an outfielder
Nick Markakis - drafted for similar reasons as Pence, also drafted for defense since errors count
Mitch Moreland - drafted for outfield and first base eligibility
Bryce Harper - waiver claim, figured he'd be up later than he was called up
Tony Campana - waiver claim, needed someone who can steal bases to replace injured players
Jesus Montero - draft pick,
Brett Gardner - picked for defense and stolen bases and runs, currently on DL
Emilio Bonifacio - picked for steals and the fact he counts at 2B, 3B and OF - currently on DL
Chase Utley - took a chance on his eventual return, not looking so hot now
Jered Weaver - drafted because's he good and strikes a lot of guys out
Felix Hernandez - drafted because in spite in low run support from time to time, gets strikeouts
Gio Gonzalez - same reason, figured more wins would come with Washington
Mark Buehrle - always pick him
Chad Billingsley -
Heath Bell - waiver claim, needed someone when Rivera went down
Rafael Soriano - waiver claim, needed someone when Robertson went down
Homer Bailey - waiver claim
Derek Lowe - waiver claim, replaces Doug Fister, who is on the DL for a second time
Ernesto Frieri - tons of strikeouts in late-inning relief role.
David Robertson - currently on DL, but 100 Ks as an eighth-inning guy made him a good 25th-round pick
Mariano Rivera - name says it all, currently on DL
Other Players used
Jon Jay - DL, liked him for runs
Jonathan Niese - took a chance, didn't work out
Joe Saunders - auditioned but not good enough
Ricky Nolasco - see Saunders
Vance Worley - was striking people out somewhat before injury
David Murphy - steady outfielder
Skip Schumaker, Jeff Keppinger - liked their versatility
Juan Pierre - needed some steals and runs after Gardner went down
Wilson Ramos - drafted but then suffered season-ending injury
Ben Revere - wanted speed, didn't produce
Francisco Cordero - goofed thinking he would be the Jays closer

Way too much input.

so paying owners....what are you thoughts on this....
and i hate to do it, but i think a payment deadline is needed, as it's not fair to the paying owners. i was thinking a all star game deadline. if you don't pay up by then, those teams are locked and their players benched until they decide to pay. basically it ensures the non payers miss the playoffs and the ability to win the pool. however, it could impact standings depending on how many times a payer plays a non palyer.
everyone knew there was a fee going on in. :fp:
last year's football league was 100% paid up before the draft. this years football league already has two payments made.
i've got better things to do than hound people over 20 bucks when they knew what they were getting into....
so what are the paying owners thoughts on the topic?

Are you pissed yet? Just say it and the payment will be sent. Non paying owners could just trade/dump their qualiy players to one team and create a super team. Just say it and payment will be sent.

if memory serves, trade's go thru a league vote to avoid those situations...checks and balannces. and as the commisih, i have a responsibility to ensure shenanigans don't happen.
sorry, i don't play pissy games. i take my duties seriously. if you want to play games that's fine....but come the all star game, your team will be done playing games. it's not fair to your fellow managers to play games. as a franchise owner, you should take it just as serious, and you should expect your fellow owners to do the same.

you can change owners....
you interested in stepping into a good league with a team with a solid foundation?
I would rather cut my ears off, and staple them to my forehead....
i'd like to see that.
For years and years and years...
I used to get together with my buddies on Sunday...
And watch the NFL...
Then about 10 or so years ago....
They all join Fantasy leagues...
And they turn NFL Sunday into complete nonsense.....
Now they no longer give a fuck which team wins...
Its all about how many yards the running back from The Chargers has???
Take me piece by piece..... Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....

Are you pissed yet? Just say it and the payment will be sent. Non paying owners could just trade/dump their qualiy players to one team and create a super team.
if memory serves, trade's go thru a league vote to avoid those situations...checks and balannces. and as the commisih, i have a responsibility to ensure shenanigans don't happen.
sorry, i don't play pissy games. i take my duties seriously. if you want to play games that's fine....but come the all star game, your team will be done playing games. it's not fair to your fellow managers to play games. as a franchise owner, you should take it just as serious, and you should expect your fellow owners to do the same.

Key players include, Foster, Lynch, Jennings, Austin, Ryan and the up and coming Bernard Scott
i'd sell it for $250

franchise league...
you can change owners....
you interested in stepping into a good league with a team with a solid foundation?
Than play fantasy baseball....
The day I post on facebook, play a video game, or join a fantasy baseball/football league....
Feel free to blow my brains out!
Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....
i'd like to see that.
Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....
