we had to listen to the 4th quarter on the radio while we were driving and it was RIDICULOUS! We were yelling at the radio, Merrill was screaming, it was so exciting!!!!
"Philadelphians' problem, if you can call it that, is that they care too much. Sixers games are never star-studded events like Knicks games or Lakers games. The Phillies did not build a fan base by playing in a cool stadium in a hip neighborhood. It is a city of substance. The fact that Kobe Bryant was playing in a meaningless All-Star game was lost on Philadelphia fans. In Philly, there are no meaningless games."
"FF, I've heard the droning about the Sawx being the baby dolls. Yeah, I get it, you guys invented baseball and suffered forever. I get it." -JearlPam0925
Why, are you going? Falcons-Ravens will be an exciting one to watch, that's for sure
Well played. Ravens are the only team worth being nervous over for the Pats. But let's be realistic, it's Pats-Eagles for the title.

whoever it was earlier in this thread that said vick played like shit today you are an idiot my friend.
if mcnabb was still the eagles qb they would have lost by 17 and donovan would have walked off the field laughing to himself at the end of the game.
I said he played awful in the first 3 quarters. If you had watched the entire game and not just the highlights then you would have realized this.
now go back to the hole you crawled out of...come back when you know what you're talking about
oh the old "if you watched the whole game and not just the highlights" comeback. clever. at the end of the day there are 4 quarters in a football game, not 3. he overcame a 21 point deficit in 7 minutes on the road against our biggest rival in a game with a lot on the line and accounted for 88% of our offensive yardage. if that's playing like shit then i sincerely hope he continues playing like shit.
Stunned by my own reflection, it's looking back sees me too clearly and I swore I'd never go there again. Not unlike a friend that politely drags you down.

this article needs an entire thread devoted to it. really. i'm totally serious here. nobody would get pissed at such a thing.

whose gonna do it?
I was thinking about it, and including this, the Bissinger article, and the crossingbroad video. And titling it, "It's Up to You, New York, New Yoooooork."

i could watch that 2nd half a thousand times and not get tired of it.
You can watch it over and over again after the Birds lose in the playoffs
As an NFL fan, It really is worth watching again though. Who would've thought that would happen!
Anyway, this guy is gearing up for championship in Fantasy football. How did you end up, Jeags?
well you would know about losing in the playoffs. what it is now? 1 win in the last 16 years? hey oh.
i think i will be battling it out for 3rd place and winning my money back. up by 4 right now in the semi's, but with forte going for the other guy tonight. :x

Not to nitpick but didn't they though. Attendance skyrocketed when CBP opened.
did you have nightmares of desean jackson last night?
sorry. i know you can't stand him
I did. As I mentioned in the Giants thread that was the worst football game I have ever seen. And yes, I hate him with a passion so it was certaintly salt in the wounds.

not totally true. it definitely went up during the 1st year, but i attended plenty of games where the crowd wasn't over 20-25k in those 1st few years. it's really only been the last 3-4 years where the attendance has been out of control. the attendence really dramatically increased with the winning and the ballpark. not just the ballpark.
