I wish the rest of the season had been like this. This season feels like one of the years when the writers realize they've got nothing going on and then try to turn it around at the end.
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."

NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER EVER WATCH EM..... I also shield my eyes when an Ironman 2 trailer comes on (or any movie I plan to see). The 'reveals' are so much better in real time.
Starbuck had it right the whole time, she knew she was first on the list. Now Jack has a destiny he must fulfill. Everyone should pay for what they did to his probable love interest. Including that Russian ambassador dude.
And I wont be satisfied until Jack puts a bullet in the head of Logan. That would be going out Jack Bauer style.

earlier, I said I wanted a bullet in Logan's head but that kidnap/torture-of-Logan-scene was way more fun to watch. Over the top with great acting.
To see the fireplace poker in the belly of the Russian ambassador was like the writers going..."Let's let the audience imagine what happened here"...pretty brilliant.
But the episode did make me wonder...what a coincidence it must be that; A former black ops marine, a Russian ambassador, a newspaper reporter, a former president, both heads of CTU, and a rogue CTU agent, all use Sprint as their cellphone carrier. Weird.

The scene in the tunnel with Jack decked out in bullet-proof gear...bad ass!!! Especially when he jumped up on the car and shot through the glass with the shotty and dropped the tear gas in!
Yeah, while I always hated Logan the guy that plays him does it perfectly!
That scene where Jack knocked him around was great!
I honestly can't even imagine where next week will go!! Like an idiot I watched the previews, but it seems like they didn't give away everything and left a lot to wonder about.
I hate to see 24 end, especially after the last 6-10 episodes, but man...this has been a fun ride!
Those 2 hours next week are going to fly!
I saw the humorous side last night, was I the only one laughing through the body armor scene? Just wow!
Jack was badder than Arnold!
The funny part was Logan's face through the whole thing
Priceless

Yeah, that was great stuff last night. Jack Vader was coming after his ass!
What is that band, And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead? That is the first thing I though of when they showed all those dead Russian guys. Too late, Jack's been here! Awesome.

another good show came to a close tonight :( Not as good as Lost but I've always liked 24. Seen every season except last one. Ending was not what I thought it would be, but I won't spoil anything.

i watched both over their first two season, then quit on them, and chose 24. From what I saw tonight, and what I heard about the Lost finale I made the correct choice.
This final 2hr episode hit the nail on the head. It had all the elements of 24 I love. It was a master of suspense in every storyline.
I still hold a spot on the 24 writing team as a dream job. I can imagine the brainstorm challenge for this finale….. “Let’s give them something they won’t expect”….”who can come up with a storyline where Jack’s eternal ally ends up shooting him point blank?”
Or the ultimate transformation of The President from past season greatness to questionable…then back again, due to a calculated move by Jack recording the video evidence speaking directly to the Prez because he knew Chloe would fail.
Love the “Mike Tyson Ear Move”
Now if you scroll back, I said I wouldn’t be satisfied until Logan gets a bullet in his head…..I’m not the type to tell I told you so but….I can always predict plot twists on many shows, it’s why I don’t watch many shows. This was one show that continued to surprise me…(aside from the obvious show elements like gov’t conspiracies, moles, and imminent disasters of course) (this doesn’t include the seasons during the writers’ strike, btw) …and I always wondered …If I was Jack…. I would think….”Every now and then I have a bad day……..and on those bad days, why does there seem to be a climax of events about 10 minutes before the end of the hour???”
The ending, I thought was well done… I got misty when he stared into the drone as they said their goodbyes… haha! I hate to see the show go, dammit. And yes, I will see the movie.
Jack was our Clint Eastwood…The tough Good Guy who would stare fear in the face and blow his wife’s kneecap off for answers. He didn’t worry about the blurriness between good and evil…he was judge, jury and executioner and he did it all with sprint phones.
It’s no wonder why when Steven Spielberg pitched his new TV show on Fox, he would only do it if he had some writers from 24 work on his show.
Sometimes I find myself looking up at a drone in the sky asking, “when can I see Jack again?”

felt a wee bit sad with no previews at the end, my favorite part was Kiefer's thank you at the start of the show
and then the very end with him looking up at Chloe, very nicely done. I always knew Jack had class and a big heart after all.
I was not a fan of the finale, or this last season. Sure there were cool moments, but I really believe they shouldn't have dragged the show out for so long. I absolutely hated the president the past two seasons. She was one of the worst casting decisions the show made.
Don't get me wrong, 24 is a fantastic show. I just think the previous plot lines were so much better. It was time to end it.

It pains me to say it, but I completely agree. This was a case of a show that went on for a couple seasons too long. It was still entertaining the past couple seasons, but it became way too predictable. With the format of the show, it's kind of hard to keep up these "shocking" plot twists after 8 seasons.
President Taylor was AWFUL the past 2 seasons. Could it have been any more obvious that she was going to come clean and not sign the peace agreement? Oh well.
Here's to hoping Jack Bauer lives on in movies for years to come!!
I thought it was a great way to end it. We all know they are making a movie so obviously this was a setup for the movie's plot.
But I thought it was the best ending they could come up with given how this season has gone. I don't watch very many TV shows at all, so I'll be sad to see this one go.
An awesome show imo,im glad it ended the way it did. Can't wait for the movie,id like to thank kiefer and the crew for an awesome ride. Jack Bauer you are the man!!!
