    I agree with that it should go towards this cause and everything, but watch it end up on the holiday single :cry:

    Nice idea, but I can't see a major artist like Bruce signing off on it unless he's the one doing the singing.

    thanks everyone for the kind words! i do hope someone up there (and i don't mean up there, i mean on the 2nd floor of the 10c headquarters) is paying attention ;)

    i have already sent Kat a private message about this, so i don't want to bug her anymore. i think giving it a little time is the best option. maybe they're sorting out the legal options, developing/launching an iTunes page for a 'digital 45' type of thing like they did with 'Just Breathe', and then they'd have to design a 10c Goods page... so who knows maybe they're already working on this?

    these lyrics are so powerful and poignant to what is happening down in Haiti, and Ed really captures that spirit vocally and with his focused guitar playing. it definitely has the potential to raise a lot of money for relief efforts. so let's keep this thread going. strength in numbers they say...

    I'm guessing, though, that The Kennedy Center owns rights to the entire show, right? But maybe 10c could work something out. Or maybe he could just re-record it with Bruce's permission?

    that's what i meant/wrote. like a completely new studio take on the song. he actually skips an entire verse and chorus on the Kennedy Center Honors show. not sure why, maybe they had to shorten it for tv purposes. even if they release it ala 'speed of sound' free demo or 'man of the hour' (demo version on single) style...

    And if the band wanted to play an acoustic fundraiser show at the Showbox with AIC, FTM, and a special appearance from Bruce that would work too. I'm just sayin'...
