Went to the "secret" show in front of the Capitol Records building in Hollywood tonight. It was really good and made me like the new album a lot more. New material sounded great.0

I agree with this - think Wash Post and grantland reviews are close to what I think:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle ... story.html
http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/989 ... tor-review
Of course pitchfork gave it over a 9 - hipsters.
Was looking forward to seeing them at BDO but now.....SHOW COUNT: (170) 1990's=3, 2000's=53, 2010/20's=114, US=124, CAN=15, Europe=20 ,New Zealand=4, Australia=5

Wow....I read the Washington Post interview today and I thought "there is no possible way someone could actually agree with that". "Boring sex lives"? Really? What a shit review.0 -

Post was over the top - agree more with grantland - just don't like it period.

Pretty sure that WaPo article is just trolling.0

@Indifference
If you want to bash 'Reflektor', and want to do so by citing a review, at least cite one that is well written. Using that amateur article to back up your opinion just makes you sound like an idiot.0 -
I could give a shit what critics think. I think the new album is fucking great. I don't think they can ever top 'Funeral', but this is pretty damn good.0

Grantland article is good - I greatly enjoyed their prior albums - just don't like this one. Still will see them at BDO - you going? - pearl jam and arcade fire - same day.....SHOW COUNT: (170) 1990's=3, 2000's=53, 2010/20's=114, US=124, CAN=15, Europe=20 ,New Zealand=4, Australia=5

Sadly, I agree for the most part. The second disc especially doesn't do it for me. The first one is alright, if I'm high and I've got headphones on. I particularly do like the song "Reflektor".
Edit: The first disc is really growing on me. It's heading into positive territory.10/31/93 Berkeley (Baba!) • 10/1/94 Bridge School • 9/16/96 Seattle (In My Tree!) • 10/19/96 & 10/20/96 B. nope....dressed as The Reflektors!0 -
This is probably their second best album. I really wish they cut off the empty length after Joan of Arc and left off the tape rewind after Supersymmetry. Other than that, it's pretty stellar. Band is at the top of their game.0
-
Question about the album on CD, is anyone else having problems loading it into Itunes? The last track Supersymmetry freezes up on both my desktop and wife's laptop, it will not load at all. Anyone else having this issue or is my cd messed up?No time to be void or save up on life, you gotta spend it all.0
