Defense looking real good. Decent challenge tonight too. Wish Granger was on the court though.

gotta love how this team plays the game on that end of the floor. held pacers to 37% shooting? that's awesome.

looks like jrue had an off night again?

yeah, sixers have definitely had some breaks early on. third time they have faced a team without their best player (g st, utah, indy).

got a little ugly at the end, but it's another win (and cover)

I know it's a pipe dream, but kevin love is a FA after the year. would be insane if they amnesty brand and get love

see it's because of possibilities like this that i've been an advocate for them to win instead of tanking. they're already a young, decent team on the rise. say they win the division and/or actually win a playoff series for the first time in a decade---that will help lure potential free agents here...and as each day passes it becomes a little easier to get rid of iguadala and brand's contract which will free up the cap space to sign someone like love.

edit-- looks like love is a restricted free agent.

i realize who they've been playing. still, this is fucking impressive:

The Sixers have outscored their opponents by 144 points through 9 games of the season. That's the third best mark through 9 games by a team in 26 years, behind only the 1996-1997 Bulls (+170 points, finished 69-13) and the 1993-1994 Sonics (+154, finished 63-19).

I enjoyed watching them a little bit last year, actually. Don't think I'll ever again be able to sit through an entire 48-minute NBA game though.

glad that they cut it to 10....they've been real good at the start of the 2nd half. let's see.

not having hawes and the 3rd game in a row certainly isn't helping...

    sloppy but entertaining game.

they missed so many opportunities between overall bad shooting and the missed free throws.

liked the fight though. down 17 and still had a chance at the end.

iggy's defense on melo was a delight to watch. that was a fun battle.
