I lived in Brussels for many, many years. My Dad and sister (and many friends) are still there and I go back very regularly. Been living in London for 20 and some years though...

Yes... definitely best beer in Belgium. Huge choice as well. There are so many places with different beers! There is also Le Delirium which is a bit further up from the Grand Place, by the Palace gardens, Poechenellekelder which by the Manneken Pis (off the Grand Place)... so many beers, so little time. Can I suggest to do your research on the beers. And remember, some of them are VERY strong.. names may suggest this: Delirium Tremens, Mort Subite (sudden death!), and they come in all kinds of different colours and different glasses. You'll have fun! Again, the beer there is the real stuff, not the cat's piss you get in Canada!

More good news on that note. Its been brought forward to 10pm tonight so it looks like things should get back to normal soon. I was never really worried about the Euro tour but was nervous for any Europeans traveling for the early US shows

and it means my friend Gemma can come home from her extended all inclusive holiday in Egypt. She sounded in no way gutted or upset when she phoned into work to say she was stranded in her resort.

Plans coming along ok, I've got to organise the Dublin to Belfast train when we can (11am!!), Arras to Leuven either by a lift from Marco or by train, and then getting home from Brussels (do I come straight home or do I go to Manchester and visit some mates as Manc is one of the ways I can get home!)
Don't know if I am on the same flight to Berlin as you, I fly from Heathrow with BMI -
depart 14:45 LHR arrive 17:35 TXL
