A 2019 E.U. pressing of an early Sun Ra album also at times titled Sun Song.  Fine arrangements of big band post bop that show leanings toward Sun Ra's more futuristic output, especially the last cut, "Sun Song".   Not perfect, but overall, a very nice pressing.

Sun Ra And His Arkestra* – Jazz By Sun Ra

    Label:Not Now Music – CATLP158
    Format:
    Vinyl, LP, Album, Reissue, 180g
    Country:UK
    Released:Jul 9, 2019
    Genre:Jazz
    Style:Post Bop

Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

Nice! Let me know how that In Utero sounds. I think I got a bad pressing. I’m thinking of getting a new one.

    Which one do you have?

My recommendation is the 2013 version.  There are a few different variations but all are 45 RPM pressed from analog tapes, DMM style.  It sounds really great.  However, it is a different mix so it won't sound exactly like the cd you grew up with.  But it's super hq, pressed at Pallas and you can get them for a good price, typically.

box retailers complained bringing about the censored cover, for them alone I assume.

Once in a while, I come across a record and wonder, how on earth did I miss this one all these (39) years?  Green on Red's  Gas Food Lodging is just such a record.  Take off the last two songs and I would call this a perfect record, especially side one.  This one seeped into my bones right away- just love it!

Great album! Saw them the night before release day and they had it for sale, so of course I had to pick it up. The three they played from it that night sounded great live too.
